Chapter 747: His Little Princess

The maid stared at Naomiโ€™s parents, shaking her head in confusion. โ€œI donโ€™t know. Who are you?โ€ she replied honestly.

Naomiโ€™s mother, sitting on the sofa, responded, โ€œOur son-in-law owns this villa!โ€

The maid gasped in shock.

Naomiโ€™s fatherโ€™s expression was triumphant. โ€œI didnโ€™t expect Naomi to be so promising,โ€ he said proudly. โ€œI never dreamed sheโ€™d marry such a wealthy man.โ€

Had the maid not been present, Naomiโ€™s parents would have openly marveled at their newfound prosperity. The life before them seemed too beautiful to be real.

At that moment, approaching footsteps announced Oliveโ€™s arrival. The maid looked shocked. She couldnโ€™t believe itโ€”her bossโ€™s wifeโ€™s parents were Damien and Joyce; how could her boss's in-laws be these two?

Olive reassured the maid, โ€œItโ€™s alright; you can go down.โ€

โ€œYes, Miss Hart,โ€ the maid replied respectfully, quickly withdrawing. She had no desire to witness this bizarre situation unfold further.

Oliveโ€™s bright eyes met Naomiโ€™s parentsโ€™ gaze. Naomiโ€™s mother spoke first, โ€œWho are you? Iโ€™ve checked; Mr. Augustine isnโ€™t married, so you canโ€™t be his wife.โ€

Naomiโ€™s father added, โ€œSince they arenโ€™t married, everyone has a chance. Anyone can see Mr. Augustine favors Naomi; he treats her like a jewel. If you know whatโ€™s good for you, leave. Donโ€™t be a mistress who ruins other peopleโ€™s happiness!โ€

Olive wanted to laugh, but instead, she smiled.

Naomiโ€™s parents stiffened. Oliveโ€™s delicate beauty and the quiet confidence in her aura were subtly condescending. She said nothing, only smiling.

โ€œWhat are you laughing at?โ€ Mrs. Scott demanded, hand on her hip.

Olive raised a delicate eyebrow. โ€œI wasnโ€™t laughing; I merely smiled.โ€

Mrs. Scott was incredulous.

Just then, Sadie entered, saying respectfully, โ€œYour Royal Highness, itโ€™s time to leave.โ€

โ€œVery well, letโ€™s go,โ€ Olive said, ignoring Naomiโ€™s parents as she departed with Sadie.

Once Olive left, Naomiโ€™s parents breathed a sigh of relief. Then, descending footsteps signaled Elvisโ€™s arrival.

Naomiโ€™s parentsโ€™ eyes lit up; Elvis was, in their minds, already their son-in-law.

โ€œMr. Augustine, how is Naomi? Is she awake?โ€ Mrs. Scott asked.

โ€œNaomi has had a difficult life,โ€ she continued. โ€œShe was unlucky to marry Clement, a gangster who abused her. Mr. Augustine, please help her divorce him.โ€

โ€œNaomi is a good girl,โ€ Mr. Scott added. โ€œSheโ€™s always been reserved and decent. Clement doesnโ€™t deserve her.โ€ (On the rooftop earlier, theyโ€™d advised Naomi to reconcile with Clement.)

Elvis remained silent, his gaze falling on the maid. โ€œWhereโ€™s Miss Hart?โ€ he asked.

The maid glanced at Naomiโ€™s parents, then at Elvis. โ€œSir, Miss Hart just left,โ€ she replied respectfully.

Elvisโ€™s lips thinned. Sheโ€™d left! Heโ€™d explicitly told her not to wander off.

He started to go upstairs.

Seeing Elvis ignore them completely, Mr. Scott said, โ€œMr. Augustine, Naomiโ€ฆโ€

Elvis paused, his gaze unwavering. His expression was inscrutable.

โ€œMr. Augustine, your home is quite large,โ€ Mr. Scott continued. โ€œThere are many rooms and servants. Why donโ€™t we stay and care for Naomi? Weโ€™re sure sheโ€™d want us here.โ€

They envisioned living in Elvisโ€™s magnificent mansion, their needs provided for. It was everything theyโ€™d ever dreamed of.

Elvis raised an eyebrow and nodded. โ€œVery well, you may stay.โ€

He agreed! Naomiโ€™s parentsโ€™ eyes shone. They understood: his agreement confirmed his affection for Naomi.

โ€œThank you, Mr. Augustine,โ€ Mr. Scott said. โ€œWe didnโ€™t bring many clothes; we need to buy some, but weโ€™re short on cash.โ€ He watched Elvis carefully.

Elvis nodded, produced a black card, and handed it to Mr. Scott.

Mr. and Mrs. Scott knew Elvis was wealthy, but his generosity surprised them.

The maid, meanwhile, disapproved of their blatant greed.

Naomiโ€™s parents exchanged relieved glances. Elvisโ€™s positive response confirmed Naomiโ€™s importance to him.

Feeling confident, they were no longer afraid. If Elvis had refused, they would have taken Naomi home.

โ€œMr. Augustine,โ€ Mrs. Scott said, โ€œNaomiโ€™s twentieth birthday is in two days. Could you throw her a grand party and make her your little princess?โ€
