Chapter 367
โAfter hearing Winifredโs suggestion, she agreed to let Fay stay with the family and decided not to send him out on any more missions.
โThorn?โ Sienna frowned, looking puzzled.
Winifred replied, โYeah, heโs in the hospital.โ She didnโt mention that Clark was there too. โIโll swing by and check on him when I visit Fay this afternoon. By the way, Winifred, is there anything else you want to know?โ Sienna asked, looking at Winifred.
Winifredโs gaze was earnest. โCan I ask you something?โ
Sienna ruffled her hair and gave her a gentle smile. โOf course. Anything you want to know, Iโll tell you.โ
Winifred asked, โSienna, who exactly are you in the Umbrella Organization?โ
The Umbrella Organization was the largest underground web in the worldโa legendary assassin organization. Fay was one of the Umbrella Organization, which totally explained why his people were so insanely skilled. When Winifred ran into them, she never had a shot at escaping.
โIโm the head,โ Sienna said calmly.
Winifred had always thought Sienna must have some real pull in the Umbrella Organization, but she never imagined it could be this huge, especially since Sienna was already running the Noir family.
โSienna, youโฆโ Winifredโs eyes went wide in disbelief.
Sienna couldnโt help but laugh. โWhatโs wrong?โ
Winifred snapped back to her senses. โNothing, itโs justโฆ Iโm really surprised. I never realized you were this amazing.โ
It was a level of power sheโd never even dreamed Sienna could have.
Siennaโs gaze grew distant as she looked out the window at a bird. โNo one really knows what path life will take them down. I never imagined Iโd lose my memory for ten years. On this road, for everything Iโve gained, Iโve lost even more people along the wayโfriends who had risked their lives with her, mentors she once looked up to, and confidants she trusted. She had stepped over all of them to get to where she was now.
There was a side of her that could never see the light of day. To the Noir family, all they knew was that she was the reason for their success today. They had no clue just how many people sheโd killed to make that happen. Even her younger sisters from the Noir family, who had cared for her so well, ended up dying by her own gun.
Some memories are better left buried. All of it was so sheโd have the strength to stand her ground against anyone or anything.
โSienna,โ Winifred said, wrapping her arms around her from behind.
Sienna said, โIf you want to check out the Umbrella Organization, just have Lana and Reno take you there. You might like it.โ
โCan I?โ Winifred's face lit up with a bright smile. Sheโd always been into this sort of thing, and now she finally had the chance to visit the Umbrella Organization.
โOf course. Youโre my sister,โ Sienna replied.
โSienna,โ Winifred said softly.
Later that afternoon, Sienna arrived at the hospital. Fay was standing by the window, lost in thought, so deep in his own world that he didnโt even notice her footsteps.
โLooks like youโve been getting a bit too comfortable lately,โ came a cold, clear voice.
Fay whipped around, heart pounding, and saw Siennaโthe woman whoโd been on his mind day and night. He immediately dropped to his knees, eyes locked on her face. โMadam, I was wrong.โ
โWhat did you do wrong?โ Sienna looked down at him, her gaze icy and commanding.
Fayโs eyelashes trembled as he clung to the hem of Siennaโs dress. โI shouldnโt have had any delusions. Please, Iโm begging you, just give me one more chance. I swear Iโll never displease you again.โ
Sienna kicked him aside, her eyes utterly cold, not a hint of emotion. โFay, I trained you myself. I know exactly what kind of person you are,โ she said, turning her back as she spoke. โIf you want to stay, then stay. But donโt ever lay a hand on yourself again.โ
Fayโs pupils contracted sharply, his face turning ashen. โShe knows it all!โ he thought in shock. The wound on his shoulder hadnโt actually been that bad. Heโd stabbed himself again on the way here just to make it look worse.
