Chapter 592:

Corey shrugged indifferently. โ€œAliciaโ€™s goal in helping me was to confront Yolanda. I just got lucky.โ€

โ€œReally? But I donโ€™t think Alicia is trustworthy.โ€

โ€œShe didnโ€™t help me for free,โ€ Corey replied firmly. โ€œNow, get back to work, and letโ€™s not hear any more complaints about the robots.โ€

Meanwhile, Alicia returned to Joy Mansion while Caden went to pick up Blake. Despite having been taken into police custody earlier, Blake remained bound and locked in the car. Exhausted and thirsty, he huddled, his spirits low. Caden looked at him, a mocking smile playing on his lips. Weakly, Blake looked up and pleaded, โ€œCaden, please untie me.โ€

Caden offered Blake a bottle of water. Blake stared at it, his Adamโ€™s apple bobbing, thirst overwhelming him. But his hands were bound behind his back, and he was twisted uncomfortably. Caden raised an eyebrow. โ€œOops, I forgot youโ€™re tied up.โ€

Blake glared, panting heavily. Bastard! he thought.

With a casual flick of his wrist, Caden unscrewed the cap and brought the bottle to Blakeโ€™s lips. Blake rolled his eyes; pride warred with his desperate thirst and hunger. The water felt life-saving. Reluctantly, he opened his mouth. Caden carefully poured half the bottle down his throat. Blake gasped, instinctively licking the remaining water from his lips.

Caden asked, โ€œDo you want more?โ€

Feeling defiant, Blake turned away. โ€œGet lost!โ€

Caden tossed the bottle aside, giving him a teasing glance over his shoulder, a playful smile on his face. Instead of untying Blake, he slid into the car. โ€œLetโ€™s head back to Joy Mansion.โ€

The driver hesitated, glancing at Blake in the backseat. โ€œBut Mr. Ward, Mr. Langstaff hasnโ€™tโ€ฆ?โ€

Caden interrupted dismissively. โ€œHe likes it this way. Drive.โ€

The driver hesitated, uncertainty in his eyes. Blake shouted, โ€œWhat do you mean? My arms are about to dislocate! Untie me!โ€
