Easton furrowed his brow, anger flashing in his eyes. He thought, ‘Does she dare bring up divorce again?’

This time, Natalie wasn’t acting on a whim. The fury in her eyes showed she was serious about getting a divorce.

Murray chuckled and said, “Mr. Garcia, don’t forget to go to the courthouse for the divorce at 9 a.m. tomorrow.” He thought, ‘Easton is such a jerk. He doesn’t deserve to be with Natalie!’

Easton raised an eyebrow and shot Murray a look. He said, “Mr. Spencer, my family matters are none of your concern.”

Murray replied, “Every time you help others sabotage Natalie, is that what you call family? To you, she’s less than an outsider. I don’t understand what you’re holding onto.

“Helping Jennifer set up Natalie while keeping Natalie around, I’ve never seen a worse jerk than you—wanting it all without any backbone. You’re an embarrassment to men.”

Murray wished he could knock some sense into Easton because he had seen how Easton protected Jennifer. Just the thought of it made his blood boil.

Easton’s brows furrowed even more. He asked, “What do you mean by that? How could I be helping someone frame Natalie?”

Murray let out a cold laugh. His tone was full of mockery as he said, “Would Jennifer dare to slander Natalie like that without your guidance? Without your plan, would those trolls swarm in like cockroaches?”

Easton finally understood what Murray meant. He suddenly turned to Natalie. His voice was slightly hoarse as he asked, “Is that what you think too, Natalie?”

Natalie wasn’t certain if Easton was involved in this, but Easton always put his all into anything Jennifer wanted to do.

Since Jennifer was pregnant, Natalie felt Easton should be responsible for Jennifer. The baby was innocent, after all. In Natalie’s previous life, her baby had already started kicking inside her, and the memory always brought her great joy.

Easton suddenly grabbed Natalie’s hand.

Easton sneered, “Do you think you have what it takes to go against me? I funded half of your lab, so step aside.”

Natalie was suddenly taken aback. She thought, ‘How is he everywhere?’

Jacob frowned, wondering why Easton was involved in the investment.

Natalie gently tugged on Jacob’s hand.

“Natalie,” Jacob called out as he looked at Natalie worriedly. He was frustrated that he couldn’t protect Natalie right now.

Natalie gave Jacob a light smile and said, “It’s fine, you guys go back first.” She thought, ‘They don’t have the power to stand up to Easton. They are still in the process of growing. I can’t let them or their company suffer significant setbacks because of me. Easton’s underhanded tactics for dealing with people often go unnoticed.’

Maurice looked at her tenderly. He said, “Natalie, if you don’t want to go back with him, I’ll take you home. I promised James that I would protect you well.” He glanced at Easton.

Easton just gave a cold smile.

Natalie shook her head and said, “Maurice, thanks for coming to help today, but don’t worry, I’m really okay.”

Seeing her decline, Maurice’s eyes dimmed.

Natalie looked at Murray and said, “Murray, can you give Jacob a ride to the lab? It’s hard to get a cab here.”

Murray, feeling annoyed and helpless, could only agree, “Alright! Don’t worry, I’ll get him to the lab safely.” He thought, ‘Jacob has a good heart, leaving the lab to help Natalie. It’s a rare and valuable friendship.’

In tough times, those who help are like a true blessing, providing warmth in the coldest times. One only realizes this truth when one faces hardships oneself.

Natalie looked at Easton and said, “Let go, I’ll go with you.” She thought it was a good time to clear things up.

But Easton didn’t let go of her; he pulled her into the car.

Three men watched helplessly as Easton took Natalie away.

Easton drove all the way home without stopping.

Easton was always arrogant and proud, looking down on everyone. In the business world, he was quite shrewd. In his personal life, he didn’t care about anyone except his grandparents and the person he valued most, Jennifer.

Natalie followed Easton to the living room and sat down as Easton tossed the car keys onto the coffee table, the noise echoing his frustration.

Natalie remained quiet. She knew Easton was always busy. Someday, he’d grow tired and weary, and she just needed to wait patiently. As he drifted away, she would gradually grow stronger.

Glaring at Natalie in anger, Easton demanded, “Why are you asking for a divorce again? And by the way, I had nothing to do with today’s incident.”

He thought, ‘That brat Murray accused me left and right with no proof. He always stirs up trouble and causes divisions.' Natalie furrowed her brow at Easton. She replied, “Then why don’t you agree to divorce? Jennifer called me and said she is pregnant with your child, telling me to step aside.

“I don’t want to get caught up in your issues, nor do I want to make things difficult for myself. So, let’s get divorced tomorrow morning. No matter what grudges exist between us, please treat the child well. The child is innocent.”

Easton’s deep eyes trembled in disbelief. He asked, “What did you say?” He was shocked and surprised. The emotions in his deep eyes were difficult for Natalie to understand.

Natalie replied, “Easton, I’m saying you and Jennifer have a child now. Divorce me. For the child’s sake, Vernon and Anne will accept Jennifer.” She only wanted to live a good life and work hard to earn money.

Easton laughed sarcastically.

Natalie looked at him, puzzled. She asked, “Easton, why are you laughing?”

Easton lowered his gaze. His deep eyes looked at Natalie coldly without saying a word. He had lived a simple life for over 20 years and had never been with any woman, yet he suddenly found himself with a child.

He spoke in a chilling tone, “I don’t agree to the divorce!”

Natalie was furious at his shameless behavior. She said, “Easton, I’ve never seen such a shameless man like you. The woman outside even has a child. Why are you still clinging to me?”
