Chapter 263

Natalie knew Declan would come today, but she didn’t expect him to be earlier than her. She asked with indifference, “Do you have something to say?”

Declan glared at Natalie with anger. He found Natalie remained calm, unlike before, when she eagerly called him once she saw him.

Seeing Natalie so aloof was difficult for Declan to accept; he preferred when she was under his control.

Thinking about Natalie’s driving skills, Declan felt that Natalie had changed. Even George regarded her differently.

Declan had been trying to join George’s racing team, but George wasn’t interested in him. What’s worse, he was excluded from that circle. At that moment, jealousy towards Natalie surged within him.

Declan said, “Mom’s company needs funds right now, and yet you have money to buy land here. Did you take money from the company?”

Natalie looked at Declan as if he were an idiot.

She said, “Declan, since I came back, I haven’t even visited the Simpson family’s company, so how could I embezzle money from it? People as shameless as you always think others are as dirty-minded as you.

“If you think I misused your company’s money, you can call and report me or have the police investigate. Do you think you can talk without proof?”

Declan looked down at Natalie with arrogance, his gaze full of condescension.

Natalie gave a mysterious smile and walked inside after speaking.

Declan was shocked.

The old Natalie was just like a pushover for him and his brothers. Whenever they called, she came running, even if they insulted her badly or threw leftovers in her face. She never dared to complain.

He wondered, "Why is she confident now?”

Declan shouted at Natalie’s back, “Natalie, if you dare to buy that land, I’ll make sure everyone knows how heartless you are, even ignoring your mother.”

Natalie turned around and smiled. She said, “Go ahead, tell the whole world. And while you’re at it, let everyone know that Wendy raised four useless kids who can’t help when it counts, not to mention her husband cheated on her.

“And then you want to pressure a sister who’s been disowned and kicked out to pay back your debts. Let’s see what everyone will say about that.

“Or what would people say if they knew about last night’s incident when my brother tried to hand me over to be harmed by other men?

Natalie was furious. She turned around and glared at Wendy, her eyes blazing with anger. She said, “Are you done yet? I’m not going to pay off your company’s debts. Don’t you remember what I told you before?

“I have completely cut ties with the Simpson family, and I’ve never bothered you. Whether you live or die is none of my business.”

With tears in her eyes, Wendy said, “Natalie, that’s not what I mean. I’ll find a way to pay off my debts myself. I heard you’re buying land today, but the land is worthless. I’m afraid you’ll lose out, honey.”
