Chapter 145

As soon as Natalie heard Luna’s words, she felt like her head was about to explode. Natalie closed her eyes to calm the anger boiling inside her.

Natalie said, “Check who has visited my office recently.”

Luna blinked and said, “Only your brother Jason has been there.”

Natalie stormed out and suddenly remembered one thing: her design drafts were destroyed by Jason. Before he destroyed them, he probably took some photos.

Luna followed behind and said calmly, “I checked the surveillance recordings. Before he ripped up the design drafts, he took photos of them.”

Natalie’s eyes turned red. For the past two years, she had taken care of Easton and left all the company’s matters to Carl. If Natalie hadn’t wasted those two years, her company would have been booming. As expected, men would only slow down her ability to make money.

Luna drove Natalie to see Jason.

Jason was inspecting his race car at the auto shop today. He looked up and saw the furious Natalie. A flash of disgust passed through his eyes. He said, “Natalie, why are you here? I haven’t confronted you about setting up Dad last night.”

Natalie marched over angrily and slapped him hard across the face.

Jason said, “What the hell, Natalie, are you out of your mind? How dare you hit me?” He gritted his teeth, his handsome face turning menacing.

Natalie’s eyes turned red with frustration. She couldn’t help it when she was upset. She desperately didn’t want to cry, but tears welled up in her eyes involuntarily.

Natalie said angrily, “Jason, I always thought you were lazy and irresponsible, but I never expected you to have such low morals! You stole my design drafts and gave them to Easton’s company. You destroyed all my efforts. Jason, you bastard! Do you know how important those design drafts are to me? They’re crucial for the company’s future. They are classic designs. I spent three days and nights creating those drafts, but you secretly sent them to Easton’s designer. Jason, you’re worse than a beast.”

Jason was dumbfounded and said in disbelief, “Natalie, have you lost your mind? Why do you slander me? Sure, I took the photos, but I didn’t share them with anyone! Don’t try to set me up. Your dirty tricks won’t work on me.”

Natalie took out her phone, showed him a video, and said, “This is the new release from Easton’s design department, exactly those ten designs you captured.”

Natalie got caught up with Murray’s matters and delayed dealing with this issue. This gave them enough time to release their new designs.

Natalie said, “Besides, only you visited my office and took photos of the design drafts. I have evidence. Jason, how can you be so shameless?”

Seeing himself in the video, Jason realized he’d done that. He thought the design drafts were impressive and just wanted to show them to Jennifer. Once he got busy at home, he completely forgot about it.

Jason said, “Natalie, I didn’t do it. Don’t slander me. I took the photos, but I didn’t send them to anyone. I only wanted to show them to Jennifer, but I haven’t had the chance yet. If you don’t believe me, look at my phone.”

Jason took out his phone and opened the photo gallery. Once he opened it, he was surprised. Where did the photos he took go?

Jason said, “Uh, I didn’t delete them. Where are the photos?”

Natalie glared at the hypocritical Jason and said, “Stop putting on an act. The photos you took are the same as the new products released by Garcia Group.”

Natalie showed Jason Garcia Group’s new products and said, “Jason, take a good look at what you’ve done. My design drafts were torn apart by you. Even though I know they stole my designs, there’s nothing I can do but watch them make money off my work. I’ve cut ties with your family. Why do you keep trying to make things difficult for me repeatedly? You even stole my design drafts. Every one of the Simpson family is a heartless beast.”

Tears silently streamed down Natalie’s face. She was heartbroken and upset.

Natalie thought, ‘Why was I born into such a family? I have another life. Why is Wendy still my mother?’

Seeing Natalie crying, Jason felt bad and said, “Natalie, no matter what you say, I didn’t do it.”

Luna shouted angrily, “There’s video evidence right here! How can you have the nerve to say you didn’t do it? Ms. Shawn, shall we call the police?”

Natalie nodded and said, “OK!”

Jason said, “Natalie, you can’t frame me like this. I’m about to take part in the competition. I must win this time. I said I didn’t do it.”

Natalie pointed to the video and said, “Then explain to me: who did you send those photos to?”

Jason felt Natalie wouldn’t believe him no matter how he explained it. He said, “Natalie, I told you that I didn’t do it. I took the photos, but I didn’t send them to anyone. I have no idea who deleted them from my phone!”

Natalie said, “Shut up. Do you think I’ll believe you? You’re born to be wicked, just like your awful dad.” Natalie thought, ‘Just wait and see. Your dad will send you to hell. Jason was born to be a bad and shameless jerk. He won’t have a good ending! It will just be a few days. I can wait.’

When Natalie mentioned Nick, Jason also felt furious.

Jason said “Natalie, was it you who set up my dad last night?”

Natalie said, “Do you have any evidence? If I had set up your dad, would I stand here? Your family would’ve thrown me in jail. Has your brain been clogged with Jennifer’s nonsense? You believe everything she says.”

Jason said, “Natalie, you…”

Luna interrupted him and said, “Ms. Shawn, let’s call the police.”

Jason was nervous. He couldn’t afford to get caught right now.

Natalie stopped Luna from making the call and sneered, “No need to call the police. Bad people always meet their match. Only when Jason isn’t in jail will Zach find a way to get back at him after Zach is released. A guy like him, who only messes things up, should be left for someone like Zach to deal with.”

Jason bit his lip and said, “That incident was your fault… You had someone do it. I was the victim. How can you blame me? Jason, are you always so shameless?”

Luna said anxiously, “Ms. Shawn, do we just let this go?”

Natalie took a deep breath, wiped the tears from her face, looked at Jason with a strange smile, and said, “Of course, we won’t just let it be. Let him attend the competition. After the competition, we’ll give the evidence to the police for investigation.”

Jason explained, “Natalie, don’t frame me. I didn’t give your designs to anyone.”

Natalie didn’t even glance at him and left with Luna.

Jason was furious. He put his hands on his hips, watched Natalie’s back, and felt disturbed. He thought, ‘Does Natalie start to scheme against me? It’s strange. Who deleted the photos of the design drafts on my phone?’
