Chapter 144

After Wendy had dinner, Jason returned home.

As soon as Jason walked in, he angrily complained, “Mom, every time Natalie goes to a party, she causes trouble. Can’t you stop her from attending? It’s embarrassing for me.”

Wendy frowned and asked, “What did she do that made you feel embarrassed?”

Jason answered with confidence, “She set up my dad!”

Wendy sneered, “She set up your dad? Do you have any evidence?”

Jason said, “Mom.”

Wendy said, “Don’t call me ‘mom.’ I don’t have a son like you. I will divorce your dad. You can leave with him. I don’t want you.” Wendy turned around and went upstairs.

Jason was shocked and asked, “Mom, what do you mean? It wasn’t Dad’s mistake. He was set up.”

Wendy stopped walking and looked at the angry Jason. Her eyes turned red. She said, “Jason, whatever you say or do, you need evidence. Why do you blame Natalie? Someone called you and said Natalie set up your dad, so you believed it, right?”

Jason was stuck for words.

Jason said, “It was my dad who called me. He said Natalie plotted against him.”
