Listen to this chapter:

Alexander was serious. "I know you're worried about your son, but Nick isn't there. Bombing the embassy won't help."

"Then I'll go to Yudonia!" Mike snapped, fists clenched.

"I'm sure you can. A plane ticket now might get you there today. But will you get into the palace?" Alexander asked.

Mike was speechless. He knew he couldn't; his outburst had been born of frustration.

"The more critical the situation, the calmer we must be," Alexander added. "I'm going to the embassy with government officials to secure and disinfect it. We can't linger. I have another task for you."

"What?" Mike asked, a calmer tone replacing his earlier agitation. He needed something to do; otherwise, his failure to save his son would consume him.

"Keep an eye on them. Stop them if they try to move her secretly."

"Huh?" Mike's confusion quickly cleared. "You think they'll move Lily? Seems risky, considering we're searching for her."

Alexander looked at his phone's wallpaperโ€”a photo of his wedding with Lily. Her smile, a constant source of calm and clarity, held his gaze for a moment. "They might want us to think that."

"I see, but if they use official channelsโ€ฆ" Mike knew stopping the organization would be difficult then.

"We'll deal with that. Just watch them closely. Edward will advise you." Alexander caressed his phone screen. "They know we won't quit. They only have two options: complete the experiment or move Lily somewhere we can't reach them."

Mike understood instantly. "Yudonia?"

He knew his son was there, held captive by an organization that no longer needed him but refused to return Nick. The lack of a recent video call from Nick fueled his anxiety and made calm nearly impossible.

"Yes," Alexander said, gazing at Mike. He unlocked his phone, displaying a map, and zoomed in. "Look."

"Yudonia's Royal Palace?" Mike leaned closer.

He knew the location from his extensive business travels. The palace appeared small on the map, but Mike knew its true vastness and formidable security. Even if he infiltrated it, finding Nick would be nearly impossible.

"Exactly," Alexander said, zooming further in. "If they hide someone, it would likely beโ€ฆ here."
