Chapter 196

In the restroom, Suzanne was about to leave when she saw Seline appearing out of nowhere, blocking her path. Seline jeered, “Amazing skills, Suzanne! You’ve even gotten yourself involved with Richard and Alan Alvarez.”

Suzanne frowned. She had such bad luck. She didn’t even bother responding to Seline as she walked past her and left.

Seline’s expression darkened instantly. She blocked Suzanne’s path once more and screeched, “I’m talking to you, Suzanne!” She was here to present a business collaboration offer to Richard and Alan. She didn’t expect to see Suzanne smiling and laughing with them as she entered the restaurant. How could this bitch swoop in to take her rightful place? Her audacity!

Suzanne retorted coldly, “You can’t take it anymore?”

Seline gritted her teeth to forcefully control her emotions. She stood unwaveringly before Suzanne and said, “Suzanne, Dad wants to talk to the Alvarezes about a business collaboration offer.”

Suratne had no choice but to listen to her if she wanted familial love. It had worked on Suzanne all this while since she was so afraid of Henry not wanting her anymore. Suzanne was stunned. Then, a sneer appeared on her face as she scoffed, “What does that have to do with me?”

Was Seline still hoping that she’d speak up for Henry?

Seline wasn’t flustered. She shrugged her shoulders and said, “I know you hate us, but this has to do with the future of the Yates family. As long as you don’t sabotage us, that’ll be enough.”

Seline toed with her manicured nails, looking unbothered as she added, “You know very well that Dad is very unhappy with you for what happened before. If you stick to the status quo, he might consider wanting you back.”

After Seline finished, she marched out of the bathroom right away. Her haughty attitude almost seemed like she had so kindly given Suzanne a handout.

Dad Selme really thinks she was all that now?

Suzanne didn’t bother to care about what Seline said. However, the moment she walked out, she saw Seline pulling her white blouse down to reveal her fair shoulders. She brazenly made her way to Alan, who had just exited the private room, and called out to him sultrily, “Mr. Alvarez…”

Alan immediately frowned. He hated women who threw themselves at him.

Suzanne’s eye twitched. Seline’s voice was next-level baby talk. She sashayed as she walked toward Alan.

Sellor’s eyebrows twitched subtly. At the same time, she shot Suzanne a warning look, only for Suzanne to give her an amused look, as if she was telling her, “Do you think I don’t…”

Celine’s conniving drove… She turned around, glared daggers at Suzanne, and questioned sternly, “Do you really not want to go back to the Yates family, Suzanne?” Suzanne looked at Alan and said, “Mr. Alvarez, I haven’t introduced her to you yet. This is my half-sister, Seline Yates.”

Seline looked incredulously at Suzanne as if in disbelief that she would be so kind to introduce her to him.

Alan’s eyes flickered. Even after getting to know some information through his investigation, he was surprised to note a stark contrast between the two now that they were standing next to each other. Seline appeared superficial and lacking sophistication. She was clearly unfit for grander occasions. Suzanne, on the other hand, was graceful and composed. Her confidence shone.

Now that Suzanne had introduced Seline to him, he nodded to her in acknowledgment, which caused Seline’s eyes to sparkle. Before this, she had also attempted to strike up a conversation with Alan, but he didn’t even spare her a glance at the time. She didn’t expect to get his acknowledgment today.

She was so overwhelmed that she got her sing-song voice ready and was about to perform her charming act when Suzanne interjected calmly, “She’s here to present you a business collaboration…”

Seline was shocked. She looked at Suzanne, confused. Was this bitch so afraid of Henry that she was taking the chance to offer Alan the business collaboration so that she could…

Thinking this, Seline… morked Suzanne. Suzanne had lived for twenty years, and yet she was still so stupid. Seline had been taking credit for all of Suzanne’s hard work. All this while, she thought this plan of hers was going to work?

Seline calmed down and stopped being… She stood her ground, waiting for Suzanne to do her thing. However, what happened next caused Seline’s smile to freeze on her…
