Chapter 643

He didn't dare drink more water, fearing another unforeseen incident. Then his phone buzzed repeatedly. Pulling it from his pocket, he saw that it was Elliot calling. At that moment, Macro's anger was directed at anyone associated with Sebastian.

He answered with irritation, โ€œHello.โ€ His long walk had ignited a fury inside him, and he hated Sebastian more than ever.

Elliot announced, โ€œMr. Giovanni mentioned you might need to stay there for two years.โ€

โ€œDamn it. Heโ€™s a monster.โ€ Hearing the mention of two years made Macro nearly explode. This was only a few days in, and he was already on the verge of madness; no showers, and his water was barely sustaining him. His well-kept skin had darkened under the sun. After just a few days, he was starting to peel, and a two-year sentence would surely be the end of him. Macro was so furious he almost had a heart attack, exclaiming, โ€œYou might as well take my life!โ€

This was an experience worse than death.

Elliot replied, โ€œMr. Giovanni indicated that if you keep speaking so negatively, he might find it necessary to add more.โ€

Macro thought, โ€˜Is he truly hoping for my demise? That is too cruel. Mr. Giovanni is merciless.โ€™ Though his thoughts were full of curses, he knew better than to say them out loud.

Two years felt like murder. Macro gritted his teeth and said, โ€œI understand my mistakes.โ€

Elliot continued, โ€œMr. Giovanni also said he saw the messages you sent to Ms. Giovanni.โ€

Macro thought, โ€˜She shared those messages with Sebastian? Those two truly showed an unusual closeness.โ€™ Macro felt the urge to bury himself in the sand.

Before he could say anything, Elliot pressed on, โ€œMr. Giovanni believes your apology this time will be pointless.โ€

Macro felt overwhelming frustration. Before he could say another word, Elliot ended the call. Cradling his head in his hands, Macro was engulfed by a sense of despair.

He was tempted to send Stephanie more messages, but he lost his courage. Under Sebastianโ€™s firm control, Macro hadโ€ฆ

Stephanie was just settling in when a maid arrived with Jesse. โ€œMs. Giovanni, Jesse is here to check your pulse.โ€

Stephanie, confused, replied, โ€œIโ€™m not sick.โ€

At that moment, Sebastian was gone, having stepped into the study to take a call. Jesse said, โ€œMr. Giovanni is worried, especially after the party.โ€

She genuinely felt fine. However, if it could ease Sebastianโ€™s mind, she would let Jesse continue. As Jesse measured her pulse, Sebastian returned.

Jesse carefully checked Stephanieโ€™s pulse and asked about various things concerning pregnant women. Afterward, she said, โ€œMr. Giovanni, please donโ€™t worry; Ms. Giovanni is healthy. Just make sure she is taken care of gently.โ€

Hearing Jesseโ€™s words filled Stephanie with a strange sense of dread.

Sebastian nodded. โ€œThank you for your help.โ€

โ€œMr. Giovanni, you flatter me,โ€ Jesse replied before leaving with the maid.

Leaning back against the bed, Stephanie looked at Sebastian, beginning to grasp Jesseโ€™s words. Her face flushed bright red as she shot him an angry glare.

Sebastian stepped closer, pulling her into his embrace, his voice dropping to a deep, suggestive whisper, โ€œDid you miss me?โ€

She pushed against him. โ€œMom wonโ€™t allow you to do so.โ€

โ€œNone of your excuses will work now.โ€ His tone was playful, but the smile on his lips had the sharpness of a hawk watching its prey, leaving her feeling trapped.
