Chapter 642
Stephanie didn't want to take a bath with Sebastian, but he wouldn't take no for an answer.
An hour later, she was flushed as she let him dry her hair, trying to hide her annoyance while looking at him in the mirror. Sebastian leaned in and teased, โWhatโs wrong, Stefi? Arenโt you happy?โ
Stephanie was shocked and thought, โHow could I be happy? Iโve been serving you the whole time.โ She felt like she might go crazy. Sebastian was quite annoying sometimes. With a loud sigh, she glared at him.
Sebastian smiled cheekily. โSo, what now, Stefi?โ
โMom said we canโt have sex for the next three months,โ Stephanie said firmly.
Sebastian took her hand and pulled her toward the bed. Fresh from the shower, his body felt warm. โWhat are you doing?โ she asked, surprised.
He gently placed her on the bed and quickly called Macro. On the phone, Macro answered sleepily, โWhatโs going on now?โ Due to the time difference, it was still daytime for Macro.
Sebastian asked, โCan I trust your medical expertise?โ
โYes.โ
โIs it really impossible for a pregnant woman to have sex?โ
At that moment, Macro stood in a vast desert, surrounded by endless dunes of sand. He felt desolate and downcast. Looking down at the dwindling third of his water bottle, his thirst felt overwhelming, nearly leading him to dehydration. Yet Sebastian seemed perfectly fine. In that instant, Macroโs irritation shifted into a sly grin. He answered, โAbsolutely impossible.โ
A growl emerged from his stomach, which only added to his irritation. Everything was inconvenient here; eating, drinking, and even sleeping were all difficult tasks.
Sebastian declared, โYou shouldnโt come back for the next year.โ
Macro yelled, โSebastian, you-,โ but before he could finish, the call suddenly ended. Macro felt a powerful urge to return and give Sebastian a proper beating. But that was impossible; he knew he wouldnโt stand a chance. The bitter memories of the burdens heโd faced in the few short days only fueled his anger. Macro thought, โDid he really have to send me here?โ
Fuming, he grabbed his phone and sent Stephanie a message: [Take the baby seriously. Donโt have sex.] He wanted Sebastian to suffer together. Feeling it wasnโt enough, Macro sent another message: [Itโs not allowed throughout the entire pregnancy.]
Macro thought, โIf youโre trying to make my life miserable, then Iโll make sure you canโt have sex. I canโt believe youโre putting me through this; itโs driving me crazy!โ
โDr. Vitale, itโs time to go.โ
11:44 Sat, 12 Apr
โIโm coming.โ Macro stood up from the sand, extremely thirsty. He reached for his water, craving a drink. But he hesitated, sipping only a little. โHow long until we reach the next stop?โ
โAbout half a day, Iโm sorry, Dr. Vitale. This detour has caused you quite a haul.โ
It wasnโt just that he had taken the wrong road; his three-hour journey had devolved into a long, grueling day. To make things worse, the car had broken down halfway.
