Catlin was shocked by the price and glanced at Allison, her breathing quick. "To this medicine really that could!" she exclaimed.

Allison nodded. “Yes. It hasn’t been publicly available because of the price. But generally, any hospital in need can find ways…” However, the drug is limited, and 1.5 million is just a conservative estimate. It could increase if it changes hands several times.

Catlin thought, Isn’t 1.5 million already steep enough! Catlin and Olivia exchanged a glance. Olivia’s eyes were full of a desperate will to survive. Unable to bear it, Catlin looked away, gasping as she turned to Allison. “Is there no other way?”

“I’ve just left the Hart residence,” Allison said.

“How did it go?” Upon hearing that Allison had left the Hart residence, Stephanie’s voice became a bit more alert. She had to admit, she was quite the gossip lover herself.

“Just like you said, I gave them hope as high as the sky,” Allison replied.

“How high is it?” Stephanie asked.

“Not much, just over 12 million,” Allison said casually.

Stephanie was taken aback. “That’s a lot for the Hart family. Especially when it comes to cash. Even after collaborating with the Ashford family for so many years, Chad only gets the scraps. The Ashford family has always taken the lion’s share.”

She smiled, “It’s not much for you, but for the Hart residence, it’s a huge deal.”

“Oh, I get it.” Allison nodded. “When I got there, I saw this woman. She was fierce. She must be connected to Tyler, causing a ruckus at the Hart residence.”

“That’s Tyler’s wife, and she even had a son with him,” Stephanie explained.

“Oh, I see,” Allison said. She had only been away from the city for a short while, and so much had happened. “So, there’s no way Olivia can achieve her sky-high hopes.”

Stephanie was silent for a moment.

“No matter how strong childhood bonds are, once women and kids…” Allison began.

“That’s not always the case at the Hart family,” Stephanie argued.

“Come into play, loyalties often divide,” Allison continued.

“Even better,” Allison said. “If Tyler can’t take his focus off Olivia, she’ll find ways to take advantage of him.”

“True,” Stephanie agreed. “Women will do anything for their kids.”
