Chapter 332: Fraserโ€™s Possessive

Summer looked up. โ€œHmm?โ€

โ€œAs Mrs. Graham?โ€ Fraser said.

Although the Graham Group had already announced their marriage, Summer had yet to formally attend any events with him. Granthera Bank is the largest private bank in the country. Being invited to the former chairmanโ€™s birthday banquet was a privilege reserved only for the elite of the financial worldโ€”meaning the event would be nothing short of grand. In fact, part of Jasperโ€™s Global Plan had been funded by a loan from Granthera Bank.

Just as Fraser was starting to think Summer might refuse, she nodded. His dark eyes gleamed like polished obsidian as he hooked a finger under her chin, teasing. โ€œBeing so obedientโ€ฆ Did you do something bad?โ€

Summer met his gaze with clear, innocent eyes, her tone laced with testing curiosity. โ€œAnd if I didโ€ฆ would you forgive me?โ€

Fraserโ€™s expression turned unreadable as he studied her delicate features, the air between them suddenly thick with tension. Summerโ€™s heart pounded erratically, her fingers nervously twisting together. Then, word by deliberate word, he answered.

โ€œI will never stay angry at you.โ€

His voice was solemn, as if making a vow. Summerโ€™s eyes stung unexpectedly. She quickly pressed her forehead against his chest, hiding her wavering emotions. The steady thud of his heartbeat against her ear sent waves of warmth through her.

After a moment, she steadied herself, though her voice still carried a hint of a sniffle. โ€œI donโ€™t even have a dress for the banquet.โ€

Fraser had expected her to say something sweet in responseโ€”maybe even get emotional. Instead, she pivoted straight to wardrobe logistics. This womanโ€ฆ truly had a talent for killing the mood.

A low chuckle rumbled in his chest. โ€œJust wait. Youโ€™ll be the most stunning princess there tonight.โ€

And with that single wordโ€”waitโ€”Summer once again witnessed the power of wealth. The room glowed under brilliant chandeliers, casting a luxurious sheen over every surface. Servants carefully wheeled in racks upon racks of haute couture gowns, each more exquisite than the last. Silk, lace, and chiffon shimmered under the light, their intricate designs radiating elegance.

Alongside them, hundreds of priceless jewels were meticulously displayed. Diamond necklaces sparkled with icy brilliance, pearl earrings glowed softly, and ruby rings burned like embers, transforming the space into a veritable treasure trove. Three tall models paraded in succession, each adorned in a different custom-made gown, circling gracefully for Summerโ€™s inspection.

Fraser lounged lazily on the sofa, one arm draped along the backrest, the other wrapped around her waist. He raised a brow. โ€œTake your pick.โ€

Every dress was the latest seasonโ€™s most coveted design, hugging the modelsโ€™ curves in breathtaking fashion. Summerโ€™s head spun from the sheer opulence. She randomly pointed at one.

โ€œThat one.โ€

A maid immediately retrieved the chosen gownโ€”a deep V-back, white strapless number with a fishtail skirt that shimmered like a mermaidโ€™s scales. Summer hadnโ€™t realized her random pick would be soโ€ฆ revealing.

Fraserโ€™s frown was instantaneous, his tone strained. โ€œYouโ€™re sure about this one?โ€

Summer side-eyed his barely concealed displeasure and couldnโ€™t resist teasing him. โ€œYou donโ€™t like it? I think itโ€™s beautiful.โ€

His jaw tightened, teeth grinding for a second before he forced out a stiff, โ€œIf you like it, thatโ€™s what matters.โ€ Then he lifted his gaze, shooting the staff a glare so icy they nearly shivered on the spot.

Why is Mr. Graham looking at us like he wants to murder someone? The dress is gorgeous!

Summer bit back a laugh at his suffering. โ€œAlright, Iโ€™ll try it on.โ€

โ€ฆMm.

He was clearly dying inside, yet he still let me have my way. Watching him internally combust, Summer finally burst into giggles, her voice bright with amusement. โ€œIโ€™m kidding. This isnโ€™t really my style anyway.โ€

Fraser exhaled in quiet relief. If she had actually worn that dress in public, I wouldโ€™ve had to gouge out every manโ€™s eyes at the banquet.

Turning to him, Summer laced her fingers through his, her gaze tender. โ€œFraserโ€ฆ If thereโ€™s something you donโ€™t want me to do, you can just tell me.โ€
