Chapter 279: Playing with Knives

Xavier sighed. Of all people to mess with, why Summer? Now Mr. Fraserโ€™s ruthless side was completely unleashed. Xavier placed a white porcelain plate filled with sharp fruit knives in front of Fraser.

Fraser gently pulled Summer closer, resting his chin on her shoulder. He picked up a knife and placed it into her hand, guiding her grip and aiming toward Philip, his eyes narrowing slightly. โ€œIโ€™ll teach you how to throw knives.โ€ As soon as his voice fell, the knife flew like a dart. It plunged sharply into Philipโ€™s thigh, just inches from his groin.

โ€œAhhh!โ€ Philip screamed again, his entire body trembling uncontrollably. In an instant, a wet stain spread across his pants. Everyone watching shuddered internally. Oh my God! Mr. Fraser was calmly playing this dangerous game just to entertain a woman! Their perception of Fraserโ€™s arrogance, recklessness, and ruthlessness reached a whole new level.

Fraser continued guiding Summerโ€™s hand, flinging knife after knife into Philipโ€™s thighs, arms, and even inches beside his head. Philipโ€™s eyes rolled back, barely holding onto consciousness. His pants were soaked repeatedly, and eventually, he collapsed, unconscious. It was Summerโ€™s first time playing darts like thisโ€”let alone using a human target. By the end, she casually muttered, โ€œNot a single hit was accurate.โ€

Fraser glanced down at her, eyes darkening playfully. โ€œNot satisfied?โ€ Without warning, Fraser placed his palm gently over Summerโ€™s eyes. A second later, another knife flashed coldly through the airโ€”it stabbed precisely into the upper part of Philipโ€™s thigh, causing blood to gush out instantly.

Philip jolted awake, his screams echoing painfully throughout the room. His face twisted in unbearable agony. Summerโ€™s vision was still covered, hearing only that piercing scream. When Fraser finally removed his hand, Summer saw what had happened. Fraser raised an eyebrow, asking casually, โ€œFeeling better now?โ€

The entire room anxiously turned their gaze to Summer, silently begging her to say yes. Even if it wasnโ€™t them getting stabbed, their nerves were completely shattered!

Summer slowly curled her lips into a faint smile. โ€œMm-hmm.โ€ Fraser calmly picked up a towel, meticulously wiping each of Summerโ€™s fingers clean. Taking her hand gently, ignoring the stares around them, Fraser turned to leave. The crowd parted silently to let them through. Only when theyโ€™d left did people start talking again, panicking as they scrambled to call an ambulance for Philip.

Xavier chuckled lightly. โ€œNo need for all that fuss. Iโ€™ll handle it. Just report it as an unfortunate accidentโ€”self-inflicted injuries.โ€ Everyone was speechless. Trevor, sitting silently in a dark corner, had watched everything unfold without saying a word. Seeing Fraser walk out with Summer, he stood abruptly and hurried after them.

โ€œSummer!โ€ Trevorโ€™s voice rang out loudly. Summer paused slightly upon hearing his voice, feeling Fraserโ€™s grip tighten around her waist. Trevor quickly caught up and blocked their path. Fraserโ€™s handsome face grew icy, his voice dripping with sarcasm. โ€œWhatโ€™s this? Want to try out the knife game, too?โ€

Trevor frowned deeply, ignoring Fraser. His dark gaze fixed solely on Summer. โ€œSummer, can I talk to you?โ€ Before Summer could respondโ€”

Trevor snapped angrily, โ€œFraser, I wasnโ€™t talking to you!โ€ He turned back to Summer, his eyes full of emotion. He asked gently again, โ€œSummer, please?โ€ Summer felt Fraserโ€™s mood darken dangerously, the atmosphere around him growing cold as ice. She finally looked at Trevor and spoke softly, โ€œWe have nothing left to talk about.โ€

Trevorโ€™s breathing hitched, his face turning pale as he clenched his fists tightly at his sides. Deep down, he already knew Summer didnโ€™t love him anymore. But his heart couldnโ€™t accept it yet. Seeing Fraser holding her was still painfully agonizing. Hearing sheโ€™d been hurt still made his chest ache unbearably. Even knowing heโ€™d embarrass himself, he couldnโ€™t stop himself from chasing after her.

Fraser showed no sympathy for Trevor, pulling Summer closer into his embrace, sneering mockingly. โ€œYou heard her. Now get lost.โ€
