Chapter 112: Let Me Go!
Fraser crouched down, raised his hand, and gently wiped the blood from the corner of Summerโs mouth. โWho hit you?โ
Summer lowered her head and turned away. She didnโt want this man to see her in such a pathetic, humiliating state. Her 24th birthday was supposed to be a happy occasion, yet it had turned into a complete joke. She could endure indifference from everyone and remain unbreakable. But this single act of tenderness easily shattered the protective shell she had struggled to maintain. Her fingers clenched tighter, and her teeth sank into her crimson lips, leaving a mark. The suit draped over her shoulders carried the faint scent of pine, a subtle trace of him. The warmth pressed down on her, heavy and suffocating, making her body tremble involuntarily.
A lump formed in her throat. As always, the man was domineering. He lifted her chin, forcing her to look up at him. โLook at me.โ
Fraser lowered his gaze, staring into her eyes, his voice deepening. โWho did this?โ As he spoke, his cold, razor-sharp eyes swept across the room. The people around them instinctively took a step back, chilled to the bone by his piercing gaze. No one dared to cross this bossman.
On the other side, Harvey had already climbed out of the pool, drenched and shivering in the autumn chill. No one had even tried to save him! He roared, โWho the hell dared to lay a hand on me? Do you have a death wish? Iโm the eldest son of the Stewart family!โ
Jasper was the first to react, his voice cold and harsh. โShut up, you idiot.โ Then, his usually stern face softened into a fawning smile as he bent slightly at the waist. โMr. Graham, what an honor to have you here. Forgive us for not welcoming you properly. Itโs just a family matter that got out of hand. Please donโt mind it.โ
Harvey had been away for years and had never met Fraser before. But seeing Jasper grovel like a lapdog made his anger boil over. โDad, heโs the one who kicked me! Why are you bowing to him?โ
Even in international markets, the Graham Group stood as a powerhouse among global conglomerates, consistently ranking at the top of the wealth lists. Harveyโs heart skipped a beat. Fraserโs icy gaze locked onto him, the cold glint in his eyes sharpening. โThe slap on Summerโs face. You did it.โ
Harvey, already freezing, started shaking even harder. His lips quivered, but no words came out. Fraser reached up and loosened his tie, rolling up the sleeves of his black shirt. He unfastened his watch and placed it in Summerโs hand. She recognized it. It was the one she had given him last time.
Fraser stood up and strode toward Harvey, each step exuding an overwhelming pressure. Harveyโs face turned pale. He instinctively stepped back. The next second, Fraser grabbed him by the collar and slammed his head onto the ground. A gasp of horror rippled through the crowd. No one dared to stop him. Fraser was ruthless, violent, and terrifying. His sharp features looked even more intimidating, veins bulging on his arm as he tightened his grip on Harveyโs shirt.
โDo you like hitting women?โ His voice was low and menacing. โDo you like kicking people? Do you like dragging them around? You enjoy that, right?โ With each sentence, Fraser smashed Harveyโs head against the floor again. Blood quickly pooled beneath him.
โAh! Stop! Please!โ Harvey howled in pain, his voice cracking as he begged. โLet me go! I was wrong! I wonโt do it again!โ
Fraserโs viciousness was fully unleashed. He had never played by the rules. His parents had died young, and his grandfather had raised him under the elite, rigid training of a Graham Group heir. It made him arrogant, cold-blooded to the extreme. If it werenโt for that girl back then, he would have been utterly ruthless. His strikes were brutal. Just thinking about Harveyโs filthy hand striking Summer made Fraser want to kill him on the spot.
Julia, watching her son being beaten, burst into tears. She could no longer care about Fraserโs status.
Fraser glanced at Harveyโs bloodied face before finally letting go, shoving him aside like trash.
