Chapter 199

“Where is she? Didn’t you say she was waiting for me downstairs?” Julian inquired.

Clara replied, “Oh, she is waiting for you in her car outside the yard, Mr. Galloway.”

Meanwhile, she pondered, ‘I didn’t say Mrs. Galloway was waiting for you in the living room. Don’t blame me for not hearing my words carefully.’

In no mood to quarrel with Clara, Julian said nothing and walked out of the room.

It snowed all night, covering the streets in crystal white. Walking towards the gate, Julian unconsciously quickened his pace; he didn't want to keep Rosalie waiting in the cold.

As soon as he reached the gate, he saw Rosalie’s car parked by the roadside. Through the car window, he saw Rosalie bundled in a white down coat, brown woolen hat, and scarf, protecting herself from the cold.

Nevertheless, this simple outfit didn't hide her striking face. Instead, it highlighted her vibrant energy, a stark contrast to the aging clothes she'd worn for the past year.

This reminded him of something he'd overlooked—despite being married to him, Rosalie was still a young woman in her twenties.

Pressing his lips together, Julian approached with racing thoughts. Rosalie only lowered the car window after he knocked. With a strained, polite smile, she said, “Morning, Mr. Galloway.”

Hearing “Mr. Galloway” instantly dampened his improving mood.

“I assume you came here this early to call off the divorce,” Julian said.

Looking at the smile in her eyes, Julian felt his irritation subside.
