Chapter 194

“Mr. Galloway? Why are you here again?” Eden looked at Julian and raised an eyebrow. Perhaps this was a deliberate provocation. He handed his umbrella to Rosalie, asking her to hold it, then, before Julian, removed his pink suit jacket and draped it over her.

Rosalie was speechless. Internally, she complained, “Can you at least let me get in the car before you act dramatically? Do you know I’m freezing?”

Julian grew even more sullen seeing Rosalie didn't refuse Eden's gesture. "The procedures haven't even been completed, and you're already so eager to mess around with your lover?" Julian's jaw was tight with anger; jealousy overriding caution, he spoke impulsively.

Alan, his special assistant, though concerned about Julian's love life, was speechless.

“You want to win your wife back like this? I think you should give up and be a single man for the rest of your life. Even a teenager with little emotional experience wouldn't do that. You’re destined to be single, you know?”

While Alan silently lamented his boss's low emotional intelligence, he watched Eden put his arm around Rosalie's shoulder and challenge Julian. “Mr. Galloway, if you hadn’t stopped Rosalie, she would have gotten in the car. You don’t care if she’s cold, but I do. Can’t I drape my jacket over her to shield her from the wind and snow?”

Eden showed no fear of Julian; each word resonated deeply. “Mr. Galloway, if you don’t care about Rosalie, I do. Rosalie, let’s go.” Ignoring Julian's darkening expression, he led Rosalie to the car.

The car heater revived the frozen Rosalie. Julian's feelings held no interest for her; after tomorrow, they would go their separate ways.

"Why are you here?" Rosalie, warmed and more composed, finally spoke.

"When you called, I thought that bastard, Julian, had dumped you at the hospital. I was worried, so I rushed over." Rosalie remembered calling Eden earlier to ask his whereabouts. She later learned Julian had brought her here, and their subsequent argument about the divorce had overshadowed her memory of Eden.

"Let's go home." "Okay."

Even after the pink Ferrari sped away, leaving the Maybach far behind, Julian's expression remained unchanged. Alan, wisely silent, rolled up the car window and drove towards Rosalian Manor.

Eden drove Rosalie to her apartment, Oakfield Tower, and prepared food for her. "Eat something to warm yourself up."

Rosalie ate absentmindedly. Eden asked carefully, "Did Julian really sign it?"

"Mm-hmm," Rosalie replied perfunctorily.

"That's why he was so eager to take you from me and take you to the hospital. He must have gone to get a divorce."

Rosalie was speechless. She mused, "How on earth did someone as dramatic as him become my assistant? Who in their right mind would go to the hospital in the middle of the night to get a divorce?"
