Chapter 195
Rosalie recalled Julian having Alan deliver the signed divorce agreement to the hospital. She couldn't help but think Eden had a point.
Eden said, “I thought he was worried about you. Turns out he wasn’t.”
Rosalie was speechless. She thought, “Who are you talking about?”
“What if that jerk changes his mind tomorrow and refuses to proceed?” Eden asked.
It was reasonable for Eden to be concerned. She had witnessed Julian's outrageous behavior. He proposed the divorce yet delayed it, taking Rosalie away and then leaving her in the hospital. Eden wondered, “How come someone like him, a business big shot, loses his mind whenever it comes to Rosa?”
“He won’t dare, or I’ll break his legs,” Rosalie declared, though she shared Eden's worry. She decided to urge Julian early the next morning, waiting for him at Rosalian Manor's gate. If he changed his mind, she would indeed break his legs and drag him to the courthouse.
Having made her decision, Rosalie changed the subject. “Did you find clues about my father?” she asked.
Eden, usually playful, turned serious. “Yes, I found out he owns a transportation company handling import and export in Nordara. It also has a factory on an island near Sapphire Ocean, assembling parts delivered to Caldwell under the guise of imports.”
Rosalie raised her eyebrows. “He bought an island to build a factory? It seems my father took significant assets from the Talley family.”
Even though some vacant islands are inexpensive, it was still an island. Building a factory, including expenses and worker payments, must have been costly. Edward couldn't have afforded it solely from Talley family dividends.
