Chapter 786 He Shows Up
Seeing his shameless look, I was instantly pissed off.
I almost wanted to let Hera take control and rip his arm apart.
I held back the urge to reveal my Alpha identity and hit him. Instead, I turned around and gave him a warning glare.
If he laid even one finger on me, I wouldnโt hesitate to break it.
โAre you seriously planning to assault me in public?โ I questioned, looking at him with disgust.
Preston didnโt even try to hide his lewd and suggestive gaze. โWhy not? Iโll get to mate with you eventually. Just a matter of time.โ
His gaze dropped to my waist, and it was downright disgusting how he stared.
I grabbed onto the edge of the couch, gripping it so hard the frame bent. I was ready to swap the couch for his hand and crush it anytime.
I was completely done with him. Even without letting Hera loose, I had more than enough ways to make him regret messing with me.
All those years of training to become the Shadow Packโs Alpha hadnโt gone to waste. Someone like Preston? He didnโt even stand a chance.
As I felt him edging closer, I let go of the couch, ready to strike.
But before I could grab him and flip him over, he suddenly yelped in pain and clutched his hand.
โAh-โ
That familiar scent hit me a second before I spotted him.
Truman had appeared out of nowhere and got to Preston before I could.
Wearing all black and looking like he couldnโt care less, he gave off that unmistakable Alpha auraโstrong, calm, and commanding.
He had Prestonโs arms locked behind his back. If he pushed a little harder, Prestonโs palms would be facing the wrong direction.
I stayed where I was and watched.
The way Truman always showed up at just the right time went far beyond my expectations.
Then, I remembered his injury and glanced at his waist.
His wolf couldnโt have fully recovered, and those wounds wouldnโt have healed that fast. That move probably ripped them right open again. They were probably already bleeding.
For some reason, that made my chest tighten.
Preston looked like he was in agony, all pathetic, but he still didnโt seem to recognize Truman as an Alpha and kept cursing, struggling like a fool.
โWho are you? How dare you mess with me?! Do you want to die in the Cyclone Pack?!โ
Truman stayed calm, but his eyes were ice-cold. โIf your wolf is too weak to sense my rank, then maybe check with your dad. Heโll tell you if Iโve earned the right to put you in your place.โ
I sneered at Preston. โLetโs be real. Your family is only where they are now because you made some cash through rock betting, turned your back on the werewolf clans, and teamed up with those shady witches from the Skyhawk Syndicate.
โDonโt even bring up the Hanovers. The Skyhawk Syndicate means nothing to us as well. We could crush them without breaking a sweat.โ
Honestly, Iโd been waiting for a chance to take down that traitorous family for betraying the werewolves.
Prestonโs face twitched with fear for a second, but he tried to stay calm. He argued, โWho told you that? We never teamed up with them!โ
I didnโt bother replying. I slipped past him and Truman, stepping to the side.
Who was I? I wasnโt only the Alpha of the Shadow Pack, but I also held big roles in top organizations and had access to info all over the werewolf world. Digging up dirt like that was easy for me.
I rolled my eyes at Preston, then turned to Truman.
That was when I got a good idea.
