Chapter 741 You Know H!
Hayleyโs POV:
The next second, the door opened from the inside, and Scarlett stood in the doorway, eyeing us with a dangerous squint.
โDidnโt you say you were picking up Harmonyโs poster? From the photo studio down the street?โ
I pocketed my room key and looked at her calmly. โYou followed us?โ
โNo, waitโTyrone was driving. Thereโs no way you couldโve kept up. And my wolf didnโt pick up your scent the whole time."
โSo that means you planted a tracker on one of us.โ
As I said it, the answer became clear.
Among all of us, the only one who let his guard down was Henry.
No doubt about itโthe tracker was on him.
I stared at her with interest. โWhereโd you get the tracker?โ
โI made it myself,โ Scarlett replied proudly. โItโs not high-tech or anything. Just a basic GPS with a signal transceiver. Easy.โ
โAnd how exactly did you manage to plant it on Henry?โ I asked again.
โWhat?!โ Henry exploded, furious and stunned. โYou planted a tracker on me?!โ
Scarlett shrugged, completely unbothered. โIt wasnโt that hard. I tugged on your tie and slipped it on while you werenโt looking.โ
โMy tie?!โ Henry quickly reached up, yanked the knot loose, and slid off a tiny, black, bean-sized tracker.
โYou heartless little demon! I thought you actually wanted me as your brotherโbut you were just using me!โ
He looked genuinely upset. His red-tinted wolf eyes flashed as he shoved the poster and photocard into my hands and stormed off.
Scarlett simply shrugged. โIt was just a tracker. Why get so emotional?โ
โYou trampled on his feelings,โ I teased.
โI really donโt get you guys,โ Scarlett said, her eyes drifting toward the rolled-up poster in my arms. Then she abruptly changed the subject. โDonโt tell me, youโre trying to exploit the fact that Harmonyโs face has never been fully revealed and just fake some photos with a forged signature to fool me?โ
I walked inside, still holding the items, and replied casually, โIโd like to, but could I really fool the great Ms. Estrada?โ
โGlad youโre aware,โ Scarlett said, stepping inside and shutting the door behind her. โDonโt be fooled by my ageโIโm Harmonyโs number one fan. Iโd know if itโs her or not the moment I see it.โ
I peeled off the tape from the poster and unrolled it, revealing the image inside. The bottom right corner bore a large, stylized signature: Harmony.
Scarlettโs eyes lit up the second she saw the womanโs profile. She practically bounced with joy, then carefully pinched the corners of the poster.
โItโs her! Itโs really Harmony!"
โAnd her signatureโitโs so distinct and adorable. Any longtime fan can recognize it instantly,โ Scarlett added, her voice slightly trembling with emotion as she gently laid the poster flat on the table, treating it like sacred treasure.
I hadnโt expected my own signature to be analyzed like that. My brow twitched, feeling just a bit awkward. โWhy would you leave something so precious in a public place?โ Scarlett said, eyes fixed on the poster like it was treasure. Her tone carried an edge of scolding. โWhat if it got damaged or stained?โ
โThe most dangerous places are often the safest,โ I replied with a smirk.
โThatโs not even a real theory.โ She scoffed. โJust admit itโyou never planned on protecting Harmonyโs stuff properly.โ
โOkay, okayโyouโre right,โ I said with a sigh.
โHey! That kidโs talking to you way too casually. Weโre Alphas, for Godโs sake!"
โLet me out so I can teach her a lesson!โ Hera grumbled irritably inside me.
โDonโt bother. Sheโs just a kid,โ I soothed her mentally.
Scarlett suddenly froze, as if something clicked. Her head snapped up, sharp eyes locking onto mine. Her voice was firm. โYou know Harmony!โ
