Chapter 366: Stay Away From My Boyfriend
Raylee said irritably, “Halston, stay away from my boyfriend!” After speaking, she abruptly stepped between them, pushing Halston away. She scolded, “You were shot and just had surgery yesterday. Today, you’re already wandering around. Do you even care about your arm? Go back to your hospital, and take your so-called loving breakfast with you. We’re afraid you might have poisoned…”
Halston wore a face of sorrow. “Ray-Ray, I took a bullet for you, for goodness’ sake. You’re asking me to leave, even suspecting me of trying to poison you? It’s heartbreaking, you know?”
Raylee glared at him disdainfully. “Had it not been for the fact that you were injured while saving me, I would have kicked you out a long time ago! Leonardo is my boyfriend. If you dare make a move on him, you’ll have me to deal with!”
Halston wore a look of terror. “Huh? Me, make a move on Leonardo? What kind of move? Mr. Foucault is my good friend. Isn’t it perfectly normal for me to bring him breakfast?”
Raylee launched into a tirade. “Do you think I’m blind? Last night, in the underground parking lot, you were all over him, hugging and holding him. You, stay away from my boyfriend!”
Halston was speechless for a whole minute before he exclaimed, “Ray-Ray, you’ve misunderstood me. I’m not gay. I’m attracted to women, and the person I like is you! Last night, I was holding Leonardo because…”
Feeling a sense of déjà vu, Halston realized it was impossible to explain himself. “Goodness, it’s just because I thought Mr. Foucault was incredibly handsome. His private security team managed to quell a terrorist attack. Do you know how rare it is to meet such an incredible man? It’s purely out of admiration for Mr. Foucault that I became his fan. That’s normal, right? It’s like how fans adore their idols. Yes, that’s exactly what it feels like!”
Kaylee couldn’t believe what she was hearing. “Please don’t like me. I find it revolting. The thought of being liked by a bisexual person is enough to make me want to puke. Get lost, you freak. Just get out of here!”
Halston quickly waved his hands. “Why won’t you believe me? Ray-Ray, honestly, it’s you who I have feelings for, not Leonardo. There’s no romantic sentiment between us, so please don’t get the wrong idea! Hey, Leonardo, please help me here. Hurry up and explain to Ray-Ray that you and I are just best buddies!”
He quickly sought assistance from the masked man. The masked man couldn’t help but smile as he watched Raylee getting all worked up over him. “I think Ray-Ray is right. You must have taken a liking to me. To avoid any awkwardness, you should probably leave. Moreover, I seriously suspect that your pursuit of Ray-Ray is merely a ploy to get closer to me.”
In an instant, Raylee had a sudden realization. “What? I can’t believe how despicable you are, Halston. You confessed your feelings for me, just to get close to my boyfriend? You’re such a manipulative guy, a real con man. I can’t believe I was so careless, keeping my love rival by my side!”
Watching the chaotic scene unfold, Halston felt his mind go blank.
He quickly explained, “Mr. Foucault, you’re talking nonsense. You’re sabotaging me. You’re the manipulative one! I’m telling you, despite the respect I have for you, I will not give up on Ray-Ray! My love for her will never change, not now, not ever. It doesn’t matter if you’re her boyfriend now. Even if you two get married, I won’t give up… Ouch, that hurts!”
The infuriated masked man, grabbing Halston by the ear, kicked and hit him before driving him out of the presidential suite. Halston’s disgruntled ranting could be heard from outside. “Leonardo, be more gentle. Do you really have to twist my ear all the time? Do you still think I’m that same kid from years ago? Alright, alright, Leonardo, I surrender. I’ll keep my distance from Ray-Ray in the future… not! You might as well give up, Ray-Ray is mine!”
Only when the door was closed did silence finally return. Raylee curiously asked, “Why do I get the feeling that you’ve known that guy for quite a long time? He knows you so well… including your favorite breakfast. He even claimed he’s no longer the child he used to be.”
The masked man shook his head, saying, “The Mulligan family had business dealings in Central Epea, and I had met them once or twice before, but I wouldn’t say we were well-acquainted.”
“I see!” Summer exclaimed. “It must have been love at first sight for him back then!”
The masked man was rendered speechless. We can’t get past this topic, can we?
Raylee showed her concern once again. “Alright, let’s not worry about him anymore. You haven’t slept all night. You must be tired, right? Why don’t you get some rest first?”
