Chapter 324: Visiting a Gynecology Clinic
Angel said hesitantly, “Leo, I have a hunch, but I’m not sure if I should share it with you. Although Ms. Somers managed to save her life under Maximus’s protection, and one could say she was quite fortunate… However, someone had used a special technique to etch the symbol ‘WC’ onto her lower back. Having this symbol meant that one was a member of that terrorist organization. Therefore, I’m afraid Ms. Somers may have already joined WC, and has perhaps even been turned against us.”
“That’s impossible! Stop making wild guesses. No one understands the path of Ray-Ray’s life better than I do!” said the masked man, denying it instantly.
Angela sighed. “But you completely lost touch with her during those years she spent in District Nine Prison. Have you ever considered that her survival under such harsh conditions wasn’t as simple as you’ve imagined?”
“Stop harboring such suspicions toward her. Your task is to work in tandem with the medical team to extract the experimental data from that Epean professor as soon as possible in order to save Ray-Ray’s life.”
Listening to the increasingly stern voice of the masked man, Angela nodded, saying, “Got it. I know she holds a significant place in your heart, Leo. From now on, I won’t harbor any further doubts about her. By the way, I’ve received some confidential information. Recently, WC has been planning terrorist activities within the country, and the targeted area is in and around Jexburgh.”
The masked man commanded, “Understood. Send out the order; tell Security Team Five to return to the country tomorrow and enter a state of high alert.”
Security Team Five was a private militia he had established, boasting a force of over a thousand members. Only during particularly challenging missions would this team be mobilized.
The Epean professor’s apprentice was, in reality, Maximus. Finding him would not only secure the experimental data needed to save Raylee, but also avenge his mother’s past grievances. Even if he had to dig three feet into the ground and utilize every ounce of his ability, he was determined to unearth this person.
Waverly had visited a private gynecology clinic. She had bribed the doctor with money, who in turn provided her a medical report stating, “Due to violent behavior, the hymen has been torn.” She was masquerading herself as a pitiful, innocent victim.
Sure enough, as Casimir stared at the diagnostic report, his emotions remained unsettled for a long time. Believing he had tainted an innocent and pure girl, the guilt within him had reached its peak.
Waverly acted as if nothing had happened, and said soothingly, “What’s with that look on your face, Casimir? Are you worried about me? Ah, you’re overthinking it. Every woman goes through this, so I have no regrets. After all, I’m still in love with you. Being able to give your first time to the man you love is a truly blissful thing, so I believe this will make a great memory.”
Casimir’s dark eyes were fixed intently on her. “Waverly, do you really not blame me at all? I truly don’t remember anything, though. I didn’t realize I was so harsh last night, hurting you. I’m sorry.”
“Don’t worry about it. As I’ve told you, this will be a wonderful memory for me. Sure, it’s a bit unfair for my future boyfriend, but it’s not a big deal. In this day and age, there’s no rule that states one can only date and marry a virgin! Anyway, I’m just going to make a quick trip to the restroom.” Waverly said with an unwavering smile.
Casimir’s tone softened as he replied, “All right; I’ll wait for you.”
Waverly turned around, her eyes flashing with a scheming look. Had she known earlier that this was the way to capture Casimir’s heart, she would not have taken such a roundabout path.
As soon as Waverly stepped into the bathroom, she heard a familiar voice.
Tiffany was on the phone, her voice filled with frustration as she complained, “Fck! I’ve got the worst luck! I can’t believe I’m pregnant! Judging by the timing, it must have been those men at the banquet that night. Fcking Waverly got me into this mess, and I have to go through another surgery. I won’t let her off the hook, even in death!”
Tiffany had gotten pregnant. Upon hearing this, Waverly was startled by her final words, causing her heart to skip a beat.
Tiffany continued her phone conversation by saying, “Right now, the only one locked up is Waverly’s lapdog. If she wasn’t the mastermind behind this, then my name isn’t Tiffany! My father might be able to protect her for now, but can he do so forever! I tormented her lackey in prison so much that she’s left clinging to life. As a result, she revealed quite a few shameless past deeds of that despicable woman. Later on, I’ll expose that sycophant in front of all the media, revealing the true face of that despicable woman. It never ends well for those who dare to cross me! I will ensure Waverly’s reputation is utterly destroyed!”
Bewildered, Waverly stood frozen in place, her face having long turned deathly pale. Just like a startled bird, she trembled uncontrollably all over.
