Chapter 252: You Could Never Control This Man

The three of them were all revolving around Raylee. Waverly, who had been cast aside, clenched her fists in resentment. A few of her classmates, who were behind her, felt so embarrassed on her behalf that they could practically carve out a three-room apartment with their toes.

“Um… Waverly, we have some things to take care of, so we’ll be taking our leave now.”

The classmates each found an excuse to leave one after another. Waverly couldn’t help but tear up on the spot. Originally, she had wanted Casimir and Samuel to drive their luxury cars and drop their classmates off at their homes. Throughout the journey, they would bask in the compliments of others, which would greatly satisfy her vanity. However, Raylee’s sudden return stole all her thunder. This turned her, the campus belle, into a complete laughingstock.

Casimir and Samuel seemed as though they had automatically shut out the world around them. Their eyes and hearts were completely drawn to Raylee, being completely oblivious to Waverly. Casimir gripped Raylee’s shoulders, his voice filled with excitement as he asked, “Ray–Ray, how have you changed so much? What about the scars on your body? Why are they gone?”

Samuel also expressed sentimentally, “Where did you get treated? That’s just too incredible! You look just as you did before! No, you look even more beautiful and captivating than before. You are simply an unsurpassed beauty!”

“Let go of me!” Raylee said, looking at Casimir’s hand with utter disgust. Slightly stunned, Casimir gazed at her, his hand subconsciously letting go. But in the next moment, he suddenly pulled Raylee into his embrace. The sensation of losing something and then regaining it filled him with an ecstatic joy, yet it also left him with a lingering sense of unease. Having rediscovered a lost treasure, he could no longer bear the agony of losing her again.

Bewildered, Halston watched from the side, his brow furrowed as he looked at Waverly. “What’s going on? Isn’t Casimir your fiancé? Why is he hugging Ray–Ray?”

Biting back her frustration, Waverly was deeply upset. However, she had no choice but to swallow her anger and explain, “Casimir and Raylee were childhood sweethearts. She disappeared for a while, so he probably missed her a lot. There can be pure friendship between men and women, you know. I don’t mind it one bit. Please don’t get the wrong idea, Mr. Mulligan!”

“Oh, I see…” Halston nodded thoughtfully.

Raylee hadn’t anticipated that Casimir would ignore the gazes of those around them and embrace her like that. Just as he was about to pull her even closer, she suddenly raised her knee, hitting Casimir hard at a certain spot. The sound of shattered eggs could be heard.

“Ugh!” Casimir hunched over, letting out a pained groan as he let her go.

“Touch me again, and I’ll make sure you’ll never be able to have children!” Raylee’s expression was as cold as ice, her eyes narrowed into slits as she glared at him with a chilling intensity.

Oh, now you want to act deeply affectionate with me? I’ll never forget your ugly and malicious demeanor when you deceitfully toyed with my feelings and conned me of my shares five months ago. Did you really think I would just forget everything? This scumbag sure knows how to put up an act! Had I not known any better, I probably would’ve believed that convincingly genuine look of excitement on his face when he saw me! Did they really believe that I would just forget about what happened four years ago? Times have changed, and I’m no longer the…

In her heart, Raylee vehemently hurled abuse at all of them.

“Casimir, are you all right?” Waverly worriedly supported Casimir, then angrily rebuked Raylee, “Raylee, how could you attack Casimir’s most vulnerable part like that? What if he gets hurt?”

“Casimir, how are you feeling? Do you need me to take you to the hospital?”

She was worried to death. An injury in this area was no small matter. At the very least, it could leave him living a life of celibacy. In a more severe case, it could even affect his ability to have children in the future, and that would be the end of everything.

Raylee was unconvinced, though. Her eyes, as fierce as a tiger’s, were glaring intensely at Waverly. “Didn’t you see him making advances on me in public? I simply gave him a taste of his own medicine, that’s all. You could never control this man no matter how long I was gone, be it four years ago, or four years after. That’s the one thing about you that has remained consistent, Waverly.”

Waverly was overwhelmed by a wave of humiliation, so much so that tears started to stream down her face uncontrollably.
