A few of her classmates were also following her from behind. She deliberately had her classmates tag along so she could flaunt the fact that she was adored by her wealthy brother and was being chauffeured by her fiancé, the heir of the Sutherland Group. She wanted to show her blissful life off to everyone present.

“Casimir, I’ve missed you so much!” Waverly’s eyes were filled with nothing but Casimir as she excitedly embraced him from behind. However, Casimir immediately pushed her away. At that moment, his eyes and heart were solely captivated by the girl before him, who bore an uncanny resemblance to Raylee.

In a state of urgency, he questioned Raylee, “Why aren’t you saying anything? Are you Raylee or not? Answer me!”

“That’s right! Have you lost your voice or something? It has only been five months! Don’t you recognize us anymore?” Samuel chimed in anxiously.

Only then did Waverly notice a girl bearing a resemblance to Raylee standing before her. At a single glance, she recognized her as the transfer student who was competing with her for the title of campus belle. As she gazed at Raylee, she was utterly stunned by the latter’s beauty. The phrase “born with natural beauty” took on a tangible form with her. She was truly stunning. With just a touch of makeup, she was even more beautiful than her photos suggested. Her fair complexion, striking beauty, and slender legs were captivating. Her features were as delicate as those of a porcelain doll. Even Waverly, being a woman herself, was unable to look away.

“Waverly, look at what your brother has done! He tried to steal my girl and even laid a hand on me. It’s infuriating! I clearly had my eyes on her first! Doesn’t he understand the concept of first come, first served?”

Unwilling to admit defeat, Halston stood up, rolled up his sleeves, and got ready for a fight. “Don’t think that I’m scared just because there are two of you here! Come on; let’s have a one-on-one! Those who lose must stay away from Raylee! Even if the king himself were here, he wouldn’t stand a chance of stealing away any girl I’ve set my eyes on!”

“Is she really Raylee?” Waverly asked in disbelief. How could that be possible? Didn’t she go missing? Moreover, the police investigation concluded that she had disappeared in the cemetery. Given its proximity to the deep, wild mountains, it was highly probable that she had met with harm!

When Waverly learned of this news, she was so thrilled she could have soared into the sky. After all, she was finally free from that pesky woman. The past five months were the highlight of her life. She was the recipient of an abundance of affection and adoration, and on top of that, she had been accepted into the prestigious Jexburgh University, becoming the most admired campus belle. Casimir had also promised that he would marry her within the next two years. She had initially thought that the blissful times would continue indefinitely, only to have Raylee make a sudden return. Moreover, she had transformed remarkably, becoming stunningly radiant upon her return.

“Is it really you, Sis? How have you changed so much?” Waverly asked tentatively.

“Sis? What sister?” Halston hadn’t quite caught on yet. The three people before her—both men and women—had their eyes fixed unwaveringly on Raylee.

That left him feeling deeply unsatisfied.

“Could you guys tone it down a bit? What if you scare Raylee?” As Halston muttered Raylee’s name a few times in a row, he was hit by a sudden realization.

“Waverly, is Raylee the fake heiress of your family?”

Faced with everyone’s questioning, Raylee responded calmly, “What, are you all surprised to see me alive?”

“That voice… It’s Raylee’s! You really are Raylee!”

Swept up in a wave of joy, Casimir could hardly contain his excitement. The rush of emotions caused his handsome face to flush with color.

Gushing with joy, Samuel’s smile reached from ear to ear, his eyes welling up as he asked, “Where have you been these past five months? We couldn’t find any trace of you no matter how much we investigated! I really thought you were dead!”

Joy brimmed within Casimir’s heart. “Regardless, all that matters is that you’re still alive!”

“Samuel, is she Raylee? As in, your fake heiress of a sister?” Halston suddenly remembered who Raylee was. “I was in the same elementary school class as her. Back then, she was a bit on the chubby side. Who would have thought she’d turn out to be so beautiful! I’m in love! Raylee! I’ve truly fallen for you! It doesn’t matter whether you’re a fake heiress or not! Raylee, I love you. I was smitten with you at first sight. Please accept me!”

The bold confession provoked Samuel’s fury. “Stay away from Raylee, or I’ll break your leg!”

“Starting from today, I will officially pursue Raylee. As long as you agree to it, you can even break both my legs!” Halston shamelessly declared.
