Chapter 335
The other patrons in the restaurant scrambled to get away. Felix Stone trembled, slumping back into his chair in agony. His life was over. He might never be able to type again.
โSo,โ Felixโs gaze defiant despite the pain, โare we ready to talk now?โ
The restaurant was nearly empty now. Lanaโs people had already secured the exits. Felix knew he had nothing left to lose except his life.
Sienna finally pulled down her mask. โBarely.โ
Felix was too shocked to appreciate her stunning features. He couldnโt believe the legendary leader of the Umbrella Organization was so young.
"Tell me what Anya Lynch hired you to do,โ Sienna said.
โThree months ago, Eleanor Yeast found me,โ he began. โShe offered me thirty million dollars to breach the Umbrella Organizationโs network. She promised another twenty-five million on delivery.โ
Siennaโs gaze hardened. โGo on.โ
โLast night, she contacted me again. She told me to leak the data to every major power the moment I got it. She also wanted me to keep diggingโฆ and find some of your assassinsโฆ to kill you.โ
Sienna remained silent. Seeing this, Felix grew anxious, fearing she thought he was holding back.
โThatโs all I know, I swear. Iโm not hiding anything." He had pinned all his hopes on her. He couldnโt afford to fail.
โYou betrayed your employer," Sienna said flatly. "Why should I believe you wouldnโt double-cross me? You should know that the moment you touched my organizationโs data, you were a dead man.โ
Felixโs head dropped. Of course he knew the price for messing with the Umbrella Organization.
But heโd been desperate, forced to gamble on her mercy.
Now he realized he had no leverage at all.
โJust grant my request, and Iโll accept any punishment. I swear the data is clean,โ Felix said.
Sienna stood. โGive the drive to my associate. If you can retrieve something for me from the Lynch family, Iโll consider letting Dr. Solis see you."
โReally?โ Felixโs face lit up with a wild joy. He tried to stand, but a fresh wave of agony shot through his arm, bringing him crashing back to reality.
Sienna strode over and wrenched his arm back into place with a sickening pop.
Felix bit down hard, sweat pouring down his face, but didnโt make a sound.
โIโll give you one hour,โ Sienna said. โMeet me back here. Bring me what I want, and youโll get your appointment with Dr. Solis.โ
Felix quickly handed a black USB drive to Reno. After plugging it into a laptop and running a quick check, Reno nodded. The guards started escorting Felix out.
Eleanor was on top of the world. Thorn Noir was back and ready to challenge for control of the Noir family.
Finally, she had outlasted old man Lynch, and now his familyโs fortune was hers.
Revenge would be complete, and she could finally have Thorn.
12:55 PM
To think the Raymonds were once on par with the Noirs, only for Hazel to ruin everything. Eleanor had been forced to lay low for years, but now she was the powerful Mrs. Lynch.
What was Hazel Noir now? Nothing.
โMadam, โMr. Catโ has arrived,โ a servant announced.
Eleanorโs lips curved into a smile. โLet him in, quickly.โ
She saw the man in the black jacket and mask and asked excitedly, โDo you have it? Did you get the data?โ
Felix kept his head down. โI have it. But I need time to decrypt it. Give me a secure, hidden location where the Umbrella Organization canโt track me.โ
Eleanor was annoyed. โWhy didnโt you do that before you came back?โ
If he messed this up, she would be implicated.
Felix looked up at her. โYou think I wanted this? Theyโre hunting me everywhere. This job for you is costing me my life. The least you can do is give me a place to hide.โ
Eleanor was speechless. He had gotten her what she wanted, after all. โTake him to the basement.โ
โNo. They can trace me there. I want to use the Lynch familyโs research villa. I know itโs heavily guarded. Itโs safe,โ Felix said.
Eleanor gritted her teeth. The nerve of this bastard. โThatโs the heart of the Lynchโs operations. You canโt go in there.โ
Felix glanced at his watch. โThen forget it. I donโt want the money. Iโll just give the data back to the Umbrella Organization. At least I wonโt have to watch my back anymore.โ
Eleanor was furious but had no choice.
Useless piece of trash. If I didnโt need him to bring down Hazel Noir, I wouldnโt even bother wasting my breath on him, she thought.
โFine! Men, take him there.โ She grabbed his jacket, her voice a low hiss. โAnd Iโm warning you, donโt try anything funny. The Raymonds are not a family you want to cross, and I want that data cracked within the hour.โ
Felix pulled his arm from her grip. โI know.โ
After he left, Eleanor turned to her guard. โFind out where heโs been.โ
โMadam, heโs been moving between different hotels. It seems he was trying to evade someone,โ
Eleanor nodded. โSo he wasnโt lying. Be as strong as you want, Hazel. Youโre still going to die by my hand.โ
Thorn will be mine, Eleanor thought fiercely.
Thorn Noir lounged on the sofa, clad in a simple black silk robe that did little to hide his striking features and aristocratic air. He idly rapped his fingers on the heavy oak desk.
On either side of him sat his men, or more accurately, his uncle, Victor Noirโs men.
โThorn, what are you waiting for?โ his uncle, Victor, urged. โHazel isnโt even in the country. This is the perfect time for us to make our move.โ
Thorn slowly lifted his sharp gaze. โVictor, if we do this, it will shake the foundation of our family. Everything is running smoothly now. If anything goes off track, everyoneโs interests will be damaged.โ
Victor sighed in frustration. โThorn, you canโt make an omelet without breaking eggs. Donโt worry about the risks. Chaos is your opportunity. That woman, Hazel, is too arrogant, holding all the power in her hands. She never expected you to come back. You are sure the old guard will support you.โ
