Chapter 332

Nora sat in her chair, beaming as she watched Vivian. "Oh, these two are totally a thing," she wondered. She was absolutely obsessed with shipping couples. If it werenโ€™t for her own status, her biggest dream would be to play matchmaker and spark romance between people.

Winifred stared at Levi for a couple of seconds. "Loser."

Winifred thought to herself, "Seriously, what good is a guy like that besides having money? I canโ€™t believe Vivian actually likes him."

Winifred had looked into Nathan before. He was just plain rich. He could make 30 million and only spend 300 thousand dollars of it.

As for Amberโ€™s friend Hudson, he was actually decent enough, but way too old. If he ever made a move on Amber, people would talk him to death.

Aside from Sienna, none of these people were ever easy to deal with.

โ€œThis is really good. You should try it,โ€ Winifred said. She had a bite, found it tasty, and passed it over to Rowena.

Rowenaโ€™s cheeks turned pink as she took a bite, โ€œThanks, itโ€™s really good.โ€

โ€œHudson, are you blind or what? Whyโ€™d you dump so much salt in there? Jaxon, you okay? Quick, drink some water," Amber said, her tone full of exasperation and concern.

Jaxon Palmer was Claireโ€™s cousin, and they all went to the same school. The two of them actually got along pretty well.

Amber had invited a bunch of close friends out for barbecue today, but Hudson would be such a disasterโ€“so clumsy and annoying, he was practically sabotaging everyoneโ€™s food.

Hudson scratched his head. โ€œOh, my bad, I didnโ€™t notice.โ€

Jaxon, with his strong, handsome features and that sunny, tanned look, said, โ€œAmber, Iโ€™m fine. I donโ€™t think Mr. Grant did it on purpose. Itโ€™s hard to believe heโ€™s never cookedโ€“at his age, that just doesnโ€™t add up.โ€

โ€œAt my age?โ€ Hudsonโ€™s mouth twitched, and he gritted his teeth.

Seeing Hudsonโ€™s expression, Jaxon quickly apologized. โ€œSorry, I didnโ€™t mean to offend you. By the way, I didnโ€™t know what to call you. Should I call you Mr. Grant or Hudson instead?โ€

Amber chimed in, โ€œItโ€™s okay. I think you are right. I also didnโ€™t expect his cooking to be so bad. After all, he is in his thirties, right?โ€

Hudson might have a baby face, but he was far from youngโ€“definitely not fooling anyone with that college kid act.

Seriously, no respect for her elders at all.

โ€œAmber, Iโ€™m only twenty-seven, and thatโ€™s counting my birthday the old way,โ€ Hudson frowned, reaching out to pinch Amberโ€™s cheek.

Amber yelped from the pain and smacked him hard, sending his head snapping to the side.

He barely had time to react before Amber sent him sprawling with a swift kick.

Amber straddled him and started wailing on him. โ€œHudson, you jerk. How dare you pinch me? Iโ€™m going to teach you a lesson.โ€

โ€œAh, my face! You maniac! Amber, youโ€™re a total psycho. My face! Iโ€™m ruined. I wonโ€™t let you get away with this,โ€ Hudson howled.

Julian watched her car disappear in silence, then drove home alone. If Clark wants to mess...

Julian walked out without saying a word. He knew she had important things to handle, and he shouldnโ€™t let something so trivial get to her.

Maybe, to her, his heart would always be at the bottom of her list.

โ€œJulian, can you give me a ride? I canโ€™t get a cab,โ€ Seren begged.

Julian replied coldly, โ€œSorry, not headed that way. Wait for the next one.โ€ And with that, he just drove off.

Seren gave a bitter little smile as she watched his car drive away. โ€œWhatโ€™s the point of acting like that?" she thought to herself, "I am not the clingy type anyway."

Seren knew she could never measure up to Sienna, so she might as well admit defeat.
