Chapter 331
โSpill it,โ Sienna demanded, her voice sharp.
Lana, sweating bullets, lowered her head and began her report. โMiss Enna, someoneโs stolen classified information from the Shadow Web. Theyโre demanding to meet with Shadow for a deal. We canโt track them, and theyโve made it clear they wonโt leak the info to anyone until they speak with Shadow.โ
Siennaโs eyes turned cold and piercing. โWhen did this happen?โ
โThree hours ago. We canโt find any trace of their hacking activity. Reno thinks it might be the never-before-seen Mr. Cat, ranked fifth on the hacker list.โ
For Reno, who was ranked second on the hacker list, to be unable to track this person down, this guy had some serious skills.
The Umbrella Organization ran the worldโs largest information network, Shadow Web, with Shadow and Reno, number one and two on the hacker rankings, holding down the fort. For years, no one dared to mess with them.
โLetโs move,โ Sienna said, not bothering to notify anyone else. She just shot a quick message to Vivian and the others, telling them she had work to handle and would be back in a few days, and to keep their phones on.
Winifred realized the moment Lana showed up that Sienna was heading out to handle business again.
โWinifred, you have to try this wasabi barbecue; itโs so good,โ Rowena said, her eyes lighting up as she offered the skewer.
โSure,โ Winifred nodded.
Rowena was already on set filming, and Wade was giving her extra attention.
Rowena knew it was all because of Winifred, but she had no idea how to thank her. Winifred didnโt need moneyโher savings were barely pocket change to Winifred.
Still, Rowena was determined to repay her in any way she could.
โSomething up with Sienna?โ Nathan raised an eyebrow, watching Vivian reply to a message.
Vivian nodded. โYeah.โ
Nattuan said, โJust as I thought, the stronger someone is, the busier they get. Siennaโs awesome. I bet sheโs got some kind of hidden boss identity. You believe that, Vivian?โ
Vivian puffed up with pride. โOf course. Siennaโs amazing. Hold onโyouโre not crushing on her, are you?โ
โLet me warn you. If a stingy, money-obsessed guy like you tries to act like a pretty boy in front of my sister, donโt blame me for beatingโโ
Nathan choked, at a loss for words. โWhat? I never thought that way. I know Iโm not in her league, alright?โ
โI just admire her. You get it? Hey, Vivian, how am I stingy? I gave you an emerald necklace worth 1.2 million dollars. Does that sound stingy to you?โ
Nathan complained angrily, still fuming. Heโd finally splurged big time on a gift for her, and she still called him stingy.
Vivian froze for a second, glancing down at the necklace around her neck. No wonder Nathan was so eager for her to put it on; she'd been scared someone would take it away. So it really was that expensive.
Vivian cleared her throat. โAlright, I take it back, Nathan. You really...โ she started to whisper, โHey, Nathan, itโs a question of respect. You love money so much...โ
โDo you really think I have no self-respect? Sure, I like money, but not that way. I work hard for every cent I make. Vivian, I canโt believe youโd think that of me!โ
Seeing how worked up he was, Vivian coughed awkwardly. โSorry, sorry, I was wrong. I shouldnโt have underestimated you, Nathan.โ
Nathan looked at her and snorted. โIf you were the one supporting me, I might actually consider it.โ
Vivian turned on her heel and walked away. โIn your dreams. Youโre richer than I am, and you want me to support you!โ
โHey, donโt go, I was just messing around, donโt take it so seriously. Vivian, wait for me,โ Nathan called after her.
