Chapter 325
The color drained from Serenโs face until she was pale. She felt like a ridiculous clown, coming here just to make a fool of herself. The shame was suffocating; she couldnโt even breathe, let alone stay in this place a second longer.
Siennaโs icy, forceful voice rang out from behind her, โStop right there.โ
Seren froze in fear, not daring to move. She turned around stiffly. โMiss Hart, is there something else?โ
โMiss White, as a woman myself, I wonโt say anything too harsh. Liking someone is normal, but if you start making things up out of thin air, spinning wild stories, and convincing yourself that your one-sided crush is something real, thatโs not just simple admiration anymore.
โFor your own sake, and your familyโs, Iโd suggest you watch what you say from now on. I know Julian better than you ever will. He would never get entangled with you,โ Sienna said coldly.
Seren bit down hard on her lip, nearly drawing blood. Faced with such a powerful woman, she had no choice but to swallow all her humiliation and frustration. To Sienna, crushing Seren would be as effortless as squashing an ant.
โYes, Miss Hart,โ Seren replied quietly. With her face burning with shame, she slunk away, vanishing from sight.
Nora clung to Siennaโs arm, mock-accusingly gritting her teeth. โI knew it. You havenโt sent me a goodnight text in days. Turns out youโve got yourself a new man.
โYou really have changed, your love for me is fading. And you kept something this big from me? Iโm giving you one last chance. Spill everything honestly, and maybe Iโll show you some mercy.โ
Sienna let out a helpless sigh. โNothing happened, seriously, clear those wild thoughts out of your head.โ
Nora shot her a wicked grin. โEnna, did it hurt? Was he any good? Could he last a whole hour, or what?โ
Sienna totally saw this coming.
Nora kept teasing, โCome on, Enru, donโt be shy. Weโre both girls here, just spill the coffee. I swear I wonโt tell a soul. Who made the first move? Was it at a hotel, or at home? Julian is the guy every woman in Vallaris dreams of. Sure, heโs a bit older, maybe not as energetic as young bucks, but he canโt be that hopeless, right?โ
Sienna reached out and gave Nora a light knock on the forehead. โNothing happened, seriously. Stop letting your imagination run wild.โ
Nora pouted, clearly unconvinced. โOh, please, you expect me to believe a guy like him could just sit pretty and do nothing! No way. Enna, youโre just refusing to tell me.โ
Sienna sighed, โAlright, Iโll tell you.โ
After hearing everything, Nora got all riled up. โEnna, thatโs such a total player move. You had your fun and then just ditched him.
โIf Julian wasnโt lying, heโs been waiting for you for ten years. Didnโt you use to like him, too? Just get together already.โ Siennaโs gaze grew deep and distant, her thoughts drifting far away. โNora, Iโm carrying a lot on my shoulders. At least for now, I justโฆโ
Nora hugged her tight, her eyes turning red. She really did understandโshe understood it all. Everyone said Sienna was incredible, that she shined so bright, but behind all that brilliance was so much pain mixed in.
Vivian and the others always had someone standing behind them, but Sienna had no one. Sienna only had herself. If it were possible, Nora wished Sienna could just be an ordinary girl, one who didnโt have to carry the chains and pressure her mother put on her from such a young age.
After Amber hushed her SAT scores, Samina wanted to celebrate with her. She asked Amber to join a small barbecue at home with a few friends. She wanted to do it, and Amber said sheโdโฆ
Sienna told the staff to get everything ready at once.
Once Amber finished calling her friends, she ran over to Sienna and Nora. โSienna, you guys should invite your friends, too. Itโll be way more fun with a big crowd.โ
