Seren nodded. “Yes, Mrs. Ford. Honestly, I think Miss Hart is a really outstanding woman. Don’t you think so?”

Lucia agreed. “She’s quite capable. But just say what’s on your mind, Seren. No need to test me.”

Seren smiled knowingly, “You always know what I’m thinking, Mrs. Ford. I heard Julian seems to have special feelings for Miss Hart, but she’s already married.

“I was wondering if the reason he hasn’t been interested in blind dates is that he’s still holding out hope for her. Maybe if we let Miss Hart turn him down herself, Julian will finally lose all hope and be able to move on with his life.”

Lucia frowned. “You do have a point.”

The main issue was that Julian was just too unruly. He never listened to them, had his eyes on a married woman, refused to go on blind dates, and even stirred up trouble between Levi and his father.

Maybe Seren’s idea wasn’t half bad.

Nina, even though she had three sons, was sitting on a huge fortune from her late husband. If Julian married her, it’d basically mean all that money would come to the Ford family—a huge win for them.

Seren said, “I understand, Mrs. Ford.”

Lucia got into the car with the driver and headed back, while Seren walked over to Sienna and Nora. “Hello, ladies.”

Nora and Sienna were busy looking at clothes. When they heard the voice, Nora didn’t even bother to look up. She just waved her hand and said, “We don’t need any recommendations or introductions, thanks.”

Seren’s face froze. She hadn’t expected them to mistake her for a salesperson.

Sienna turned her head and looked at Seren. “Is there something you need?”

“Miss Hart, hello. My name is Seren White. You might not know me, but I’m sure you know my fiancé, Julian Ford,” Seren said with a bright, friendly smile as she looked at Sienna.

Nora paused what she was doing and looked up at Seren. “Julian’s fiancée?” she wondered. “Just now, Enna and I were talking about Julian. He is engaged?”

Seren couldn’t spot even the slightest change in Sienna’s expression. It was like her words meant absolutely nothing to Sienna.

“And?” Sienna’s cold, indifferent gaze showed a flicker of interest.

Seren confidently tossed her hair and said, “I know Julian used to have feelings for you, but that’s all in the past.

“Now, I’m his fiancée, and you’re a married woman, Miss Hart. So I assume there’s no more entanglement between you two, right?”

Nora frowned in annoyance. “What do you mean by that? What do you mean by entanglement?

“If you can’t speak properly, then just keep your mouth shut. Words have consequences, you know. Don’t use such vague terms and try to smear my best friend’s reputation.”

Seren lowered her head. “I’m really sorry, Miss Hart. I misspoke—I didn’t mean any harm. Please don’t take it the wrong way.”

Sienna glanced out the window, her tone full of arrogance. “You guessed right. There is an entanglement between us.

"In fact, just last night, we kissed. Funny thing is, he never mentioned you, his so-called fiancée. And Miss White, you might want to watch your words. I’m single, not married.”

At that, Seren’s face changed dramatically, her eyes widening in disbelief, “What? No way. I thought you were already married?”

Sienna asked curiously, “May I ask who told you I was married?”

Who started that rumor? Sienna wondered.

Seren’s heart plummeted. They’re that close, and she’s not even married, she wondered.

Nora’s eyes widened in shock as she looked at her best friend. Last night? They kissed? she thought. So there really is something going on between her and Julian.

“Miss Hart, I—I just heard it from others, really, just some rumors. Please don’t misunderstand. I won’t bother you two any longer. Goodbye,” Seren stammered.
