Chapter 307
Wade froze for a couple of seconds, totally stunned. "Come on, all this just for that? She couldโve just said something. Whyโd she have to beat me up?
"Weโre family, after all. Even if she didnโt offer me money, if she just asked, I wouldโve thought about changing my mind."
He whimpered, tears streaming down his now puffy, swollen face.
Man, this girl doesnโt just hit hard; sheโs scary accurate, too, he thought.
"Call her, now," Winifred snapped.
"Yโyes, right away." Wade immediately called Rowena and told her heโd just been talking nonsense earlier, and that she could keep her role as the third female lead.
Winifred tossed him a card. "Thereโs 30 million dollars in there. If I find out anyoneโs messing with her behind my back, you better watch your neck."
With that, she turned and walked away.
Wade picked up the card from the floor, still sniffling and feeling wronged. "She is way too rough," he whimpered to himself. "30 million dollars? Maybe being rough isnโt so bad after all.โ
If Rowena beat him up again and tossed him another 30 million dollars, heโd agree with anything.
Rowena hung up the phone, her heart was on a rollercoaster. "Winifred has come through for me again," she thought, her heart pounding with gratitude and disbelief.
Meanwhile, upstairs, Sienna and Julian were sitting across from each other.
Julian glanced at the spot where Thorn had just been kicked out and said, sounding worried, "Am I not supposed to be here? Did I mess things up between you two?"
Sienna waved it off. "Our relationship was already broken. Thereโs nothing left to mess up. Julian, donโt worry about him."
She thought, โWhat else is there to say to Thorn? Honestly, not killing him was already me being merciful."
Julianโs heart was overflowing with excitement and suspicion, the feelings running wild in his chest. The questions he wanted to ask were right on the tip of his tongue.
Just as Sienna was about to tell him about the building, her phone rang urgently. It was Vivian. She answered and stood up.
โSorry, I have to go. Wait here for me, okay? I need to talk to you about something,โ she said.
โSure, Iโll be right here,โ Julian replied.
โWell, I didnโt expect to see you here, Julian," a familiar voice called out. Levi heard it and, for a second, thought he must see it wrongly.
Julian never liked coming to these noisy, crowded places.
Julianโs face immediately darkened, all that good mood and anticipation just went out the window. He ignored Levi completely.
Levi stood right in front of Julian, grinning like heโd just hit the jackpot. "Turns out Iโm Dadโs real son, Julian. Bet youโre disappointed.
"Now thereโs one more person fighting you for the Ford family inheritance. Isnโt that just great?"
Julian didnโt even bother to look at him. He just glanced down at the crowd below, his tone flat and dismissive. "The Ford familyโs so-called fortune! Only useless people like you would obsess over that crap all day."
"Youโre just scared someone else will snatch up even a bit of that mess before you can get your hands on it,"
Leviโs face twisted with anger as he glared at Julian, totally rattled by how calm and unfazed he was.

Levi snapped, "Julian, what are you even pretending for? Didnโt you come back this time for the Ford family inheritance too? Stop acting like youโre so above it all."
Then, as if something just occurred to him, Levi smirked and lowered his voice. "Hey, Julian, bet you didnโt know. I already sold that building in Tiashine Bay at a high price."
Julian froze, shooting him a fierce glare. "What did you say?"
Levi shoved his hands in his pockets, flicked his hair back, and flashed a cocky, triumphant grin. "Sold it. At a high priceโ130 million dollars. I never thought that building would be worth so much."
