Chapter 681
Caden smirked, amusement flickering in his eyes, but remained silent. How could he tell her the truth?
โWe had an affair,โ he said with mock seriousness.
Alicia burst out laughing, dropping a piece of the model onto the table. โOh no!โ she exclaimed, picking it up. โDonโt chip my diamonds.โ
After over two hours, the castle was complete. Alicia clasped her hands, a serene smile spreading across her face. โI love it, Caden,โ she said.
Caden met her gaze, feeling an overwhelming wave of affection. In that moment, any other plans seemed insignificant; he only wanted her, wholly his, here and now.
โAlicia,โ he whispered, gently brushing a strand of hair from her face.
โYes?โ she asked, her eyes so bright and pure that his heart raced. He almost spoke the words on the tip of his tongue, but swallowed them back. โWould you like to change? I want to take you somewhere.โ
Her eyes lit up. โIs this a date?โ
โIt is,โ he confirmed with a smile.
Women loved to look their best for special occasions, always mindful of how they appeared in photos and videos. He knew heโd hear about it later if she ever regretted her outfit choice.
Alicia tilted her head playfully. โWhy should I change? Donโt I look good in everything?โ
Caden chuckled softly. โYou do. But if youโre sure, letโs go.โ
After a thirty-minute drive, they arrived at a place unfamiliar to Alicia. Caden loosened his tie and gently covered her eyes with it.
Alicia tensed slightly but grinned. โYouโre not planning some outdoor adventure with this blindfold, are you?โ she teased, half expecting a playful surprise.
Cadenโs composure almost faltered at her cheeky suggestion. โSeriously, canโt you think of anything innocent just once?โ
He carefully helped her from the car. The cool night air carried a hint of salt.
โAre we near the ocean?โ she asked.
โYes,โ Caden replied, wrapping his arm around her, using his broad chest to shield her from the chill.
