Chapter 627: Mr. Ward!
Caden stopped, bracing himself weakly on his hands. "Has Gareth passed?" The bodyguard was out of breath.
"No," he replied. "A woman named Alicia insists she needs to see you immediately."
Caden's brows furrowed deeply as he turned. "Alicia?"
"Yes. She claims she brought the medication, and it's ready for use. But we don't know her, so I came to get you."
Caden didn't let him finish, taking off urgently. He moved so quickly that he momentarily forgot his weakness from blood loss and nearly stumbled.
Alicia had indeed arrived. She rushed into the operating room and handed the medicine to the surgeon. The surgeon, startled by the unconventional situation, hesitated to administer it. He remained silent until he saw Caden.
"Mr. Ward," he said, "this young lady has brought a significant amount of medication, but none of it is labeled."
Caden ignored him, taking Alicia's hand firmly. He guided her to the side, ensuring her safety before asking with concern, "How did you manage to get here?"
Alicia, still catching her breath after her hurried flight, explained, "Cliff flew me here in a helicopter. The medication couldn't pass through airport security."
Caden felt a wave of overwhelming emotion, his heart aching. He wanted to speak, but knew there was no time. "What type of medicine did you bring?"
Alicia, noticing his pale face, felt her own heart ache. "It's from Monica's team—a range of new formulas. Use whatever is necessary."
Everything felt dreamlike to Caden. He gently squeezed her fingers. "Yes, we need them all."
Alicia added hurriedly, "Although this research isn't commercially available yet and carries some risks, these special medications were developed over countless days and nights. They are more effective than anything currently on the market. Don't worry; they've been extensively tested."
The unreality intensified. Caden signaled the surgeon to administer the medication to Gareth immediately. They couldn't stay long. He guided Alicia outside, leaning back on a bench and gently pulling her onto his lap. Alicia shifted slightly uncomfortably.
