Chapter 541:

His expression was icy, his patience fraying. “Call Blake immediately and tell him to withdraw his shares and complete the remaining procedures as soon as possible.”

Alicia’s anger flared. “When will you stop this, Caden?”

His gaze sharpened. “Will you do it or not?”

Alicia’s temper ignited. “No! You have no right to interfere in my company’s affairs!”

Caden abruptly released her arm, turning and striding toward the study. Knowing he would take drastic measures to remove Blake, Alicia quickly followed. But Caden slammed the door in her face, leaving her standing on the threshold.

She pounded on the door, her cheeks flushed with anger. “Caden! Have you no decency?” The urge to curse bubbled up, but she held back, her heart pounding painfully. All the gallery's executives owed their positions to him; a single call could sway the entire board, and Blake’s shares could be forcibly removed by tomorrow. With sufficient authority and funds, such an action wouldn't even require Blake's consent.

Moments later, Caden opened the door. Alicia stood rigidly, staring at him. “What did you do?”

Caden looked down, his gaze as indifferent as stone. “I did exactly what you’re thinking.”

Alicia felt her strength drain away. She bit her lip, disappointment etched across her face.

Caden’s tone hardened. “Alicia, it’s just Blake. Why do you look at me like that?”

“Why did you do that?” Alicia countered, her voice trembling. “Do you want to know why I allowed Mr. Langstaff to join as a shareholder? Because I appreciate his talent and capabilities! Do you have to eliminate everyone who likes me?”

Caden sneered coldly. “I’ll deal with anyone who oversteps.”

Alicia laughed bitterly. “In that case, why don’t you deal with Yolanda? She’s done enough to deserve serious consequences. Why haven’t you acted with such decisiveness there?”

Caden replied, “If Blake had a father as powerful as hers, he’d stand a fighting chance against me, too.”

“Is it really because of Dorian? I think you’re just unwilling to hurt her!” Alicia’s emotions surged. “Or are you simply incompetent? Is taking your anger out on innocent people your way of venting?”

Caden’s expression darkened. Suddenly, Alicia’s phone rang. Her chest tightened as she averted her gaze from his almost murderous stare to answer. It was Blake. She realized Caden had already sent someone to persuade him to reconsider.
