Chapter 480

When he emerged, Alicia was standing before her dresser, applying lotion. The familiar scent filled the air. He dried himself with a towel and said, “Alright, you need to stop tempting me. You’ve been draining me these past few days.”

Alicia snorted. “So, you’ve finally reached your limit? Karma’s a bitch, and you deserve it.” She padded to the bed, climbed under the covers, and yawned. “But don’t worry. If you’re out of commission, I’ll just find someone else to take over your duties.”

Caden joined her, pulling her into his arms. Sleep quickly overcame him, and he didn’t bother responding to her teasing. Later, he examined the kiss marks on her skin and her tired expression, smirking. “Out of energy already? Was that enough for you?”

Alicia rolled her eyes and buried her face in the pillow, too tired to reply. Caden scooped her up and carried her to the bathroom. As steam filled the room, Alicia muttered, “Aren’t you supposed to be rushing to work? I can handle it myself. Don’t be late.”

Caden shrugged. “I’ll get there when I feel like it.”

Alicia blinked in surprise. “Don’t you have something important to get to?”

“When did I ever say that?” he retorted, smirking.

“But you were acting like you were in a huge hurry earlier!” she exclaimed. “You made me rush through everything, like you were going to be late!”

Caden laughed at her description of their morning. “Alicia, you’re blunt,” he teased.

Her cheeks flushed as she mumbled, “Well, it’s your fault for tricking me.” She cringed, wondering if she’d made a fool of herself. One look at Caden’s teasing gaze confirmed it. The more she thought about it, the more annoyed she became. Suddenly, she kicked her legs, splashing water on him. “Since you’re not in a hurry, why not skip work entirely?”

Caden smirked, shrugging off his freshly donned shirt. His still-toned muscles were almost unfairly on display, making her blush. He gave her a dangerous look. “Skip work for what? You?” As he lifted a leg to step into the tub, Alicia threw her hands up. “You’re not allowed in here!”

But she couldn’t stop him. Soon, the bathroom was filled with another round of intimacy. When Alicia was completely exhausted, Caden scooped her up and laid her on the bed. Her stomach grumbled loudly.

“I’m starving,” Alicia said weakly.

Caden smirked, feigning misunderstanding. “Since when did you turn into such a glutton? Three times, and still not satisfied?”

Alicia clenched her teeth. “I mean food. I’m hungry.”

“Didn’t I satisfy you earlier?” Caden teased.

Alicia was fuming. Frustrated, she retorted, “You big pervert! Why don’t you just chop it off, make soup with one half and stir-fry the other? I could eat three big plates of pasta with that!”

Caden raised an eyebrow, clearly taking it as a compliment. “So, you’re that impressed with my size, huh? Enough for two dishes?”

Alicia was speechless. She couldn’t handle it anymore. She was ready to call the police.

Ever since Corey’s Q Robots had taken off, Alicia had been spending more and more time at Blizzard Group’s headquarters.
