Chapter 726 The Interrogation
Those hunting dogs would have gone mad, tearing two people down to the bone with nothing left behind. A perfect way to erase evidence.
Yunice said coldly, โDidnโt you swear you wanted to be a good man?โ
Wyattโs tone was calm, almost flat. โWith trash like him, if I donโt kill him, I wonโt sleep at night.โ
Hearing that he wasnโt joking, Yunice replied, โSend me your location.โ
Her car screeched to a stop at the warehouse. Dressed in a black leather trench coat and gloves, she strode in.
Wyatt turned, eyes dark with jealousy. โAfraid the dogs will eat him, so you rush over yourself? Arenโt you worried Iโll get jealous?โ
โWow, jealous much?โ Yunice dragged a chair over and sat beside him.
Wyatt lowered his gaze, watching her, and let out a soft laugh. โYouโve gotten funnier.โ
โYou started it,โ Yunice snapped, her eyes turning toward the prisoners, her face cold.
She knew perfectly well Wyatt had only used them as bait to lure her here.
He slid his chair closer, leaning in. โI heard youโre reopening Saunders Hospital?โ
Yuniceโs voice was steady. โYou stalk me like a lunatic, and you still need to โhearโ about it?โ
Wasnโt he the one who knew her every move better than anyone else?
Wyatt raised his wrist with a smirk. โAnd youโre no better.โ
Her eyes fell on the bracelet at his wrist. Heโd figured it out.
โYouโve been tracking me too, havenโt you? To know whether Iโm safe, you gave me something so preciousโIโm touched.โ
That bracelet carried a GPS tracker. She had installed it to monitor his position, so she could decide her next move. She hadnโt expected it would fool him for long.
But even knowing it exposed him, Wyatt hadnโt thrown it away because Yunice valued it.
He said with a low chuckle, โBeing watched by you personallyโIโm one of a kind, arenโt I?โ
True enough. She usually hired others to monitor people. Only Wyatt, she kept her own eyes on.
And Wyatt enjoyed it.
Yunice ignored him, her gaze shifting to Paul and Nora.
The two were tied back-to-back like a twisted couple, their mouths sealed with tape, eyes wide open as they watched.
Finally, Wyatt looked away from Yunice. He ordered, โLet them speak.โ
The tape was ripped off, leaving their faces stung and twisted in pain.
At least they could talk.
Yunice didnโt ask Paul yet about the leverage he held over her. Instead, she said, โLast time the police raided the Jiang house, you were with Nora. She was caught. How did you escape? Where did you go?โ
Paul had been starved for days, given only water. Even furious, his voice came out weak. โIf you didnโt find me, thatโs your own stupidity!โ
Yunice didnโt rise to the bait. She pulled two small bottles from her bag and gestured for Scar to take them. โOne on his chest, one on his back.โ
She didnโt explain what they were. Scar hesitated, but when Wyatt didnโt object, he obeyed.
Paulโs eyes tracked the bottles, his expression changing as the caps twisted open. When Scar pulled open his collar, ready to pour, Paulโs voice cracked in panic. โYunice, what are you doing!โ
She tilted her head with a smile. โRight now, Iโm the butcher, youโre the meat. What else can I do but whatever I please?โ
Paulโs face twisted, spitting threats with what strength he had. โYou wouldnโt dare! Touch me and youโll regret itโIโll make sure you die a horrible death!โ
Wyattโs gaze shot up, ice-cold and merciless. โPour it.โ
Yunice added evenly, โCarefulโdonโt get it on your hands.โ
Scar nodded and emptied both bottles, dust coating Paulโs chest and back.
Yunice smoothed her coat and said lazily, โShake him up.โ
Scar gripped Paulโs shoulders and jerked him back and forth like a rag doll.
Nora, bound with him, was dragged along too, her face pale with terror.
Then Paul let out a sudden, blood-curdling scream.
