Chapter 645 A Dangerous Setup

Wendy sobbed, "She overheard me badmouthing Yunice. Then she claimed to be Yuniceโ€™s relative and started saying Yunice was a promiscuous and unruly girl. She said she felt guilty for not keeping her in check as a relativeโ€ฆ She even gave us gifts to apologize on Yuniceโ€™s behalf and asked us to help her teach Yunice a lessonโ€“to make her feel ashamedโ€ฆโ€

Tears streamed down Wendyโ€™s face as she added, โ€œThatโ€™s really all there is. I swear Iโ€™m not hiding anything!โ€

As soon as Wendy finished, Scarface brought the phone to his ear.

Wendy, still sniffling, began to feel suspicious. Why does the voice on the other end sound so familiar?

Just then, Wyatt said a few words to Scarface over the phone.

After hanging up, Scarface looked at Wendy. โ€œAlright. Get that woman to meet with you.โ€

Wendy stared at him in shock. โ€œHuh?โ€

Meanwhile, Wyatt had just stepped off the helicopter.

As soon as he got Laurieโ€™s call, heโ€™d flown straight from Silverburgh to the medical university.

Scarface met up with him and asked, confused, โ€œWyatt, youโ€™re really not going to tell Ms. Yunice youโ€™re here?โ€

Scarface thought this was the perfect chance to make an impression. If Ms. Yunice found out Wyatt had rushed over the moment he heard something had happened to her, how could she not be moved? How could she not feel that he truly cared?

And if she was movedโ€ฆ wouldnโ€™t that bring the two of them closer?

Wyatt let out a cold snort. โ€œYou think she wants to see me right now?โ€

After what Nora had done, Yunice probably couldnโ€™t stand the sight of him.

If he showed up without resolving things and bringing results, it would only make things worse.

Scarface scratched his head. Why is dating a woman so damn complicated?

Yunice, following the GPS location, retrieved her phone from the classroomโ€™s phone locker.

She wrapped it in an alcohol wipe and, after making sure the exterior wasnโ€™t damaged, began disinfecting it properly.

Then she checked if any internal files had been corrupted or deleted.

What Nora didnโ€™t know was that the phoneโ€™s hidden system had an automatic anti-theft feature. The moment anyone tried to force it open, the camera would secretly activate and take a photo of their face, sending it straight to Yuniceโ€™s inbox.

If the intruder continued tampering, the system would initiate a self-destruct protocol. Not a single bit of information would be leaked.

Noraโ€™s cleverness had backfired. She hadnโ€™t uncovered any of Yuniceโ€™s secretsโ€“instead, sheโ€™d exposed her own two-faced nature.

And now, Yunice wanted to see how Wyattโ€“knowing exactly what Nora had doneโ€“would handle the situation.

Her stance on Nora was simple: as long as Nora left her alone, sheโ€™d pretend she didnโ€™t exist.

But if Nora came after her because of some man, then sheโ€™d never back down.

Sheโ€™d always believed the dumbest thing a woman could do was go after another woman over a man who had already moved on.

At first, sheโ€™d admired Noraโ€™s devotion, thinking she was brave for falling into a coma after getting hurt for Wyatt. But now that sheโ€™d seen what Nora was really like, she wasnโ€™t impressed at all.

Wendy and Nora agreed to meet at the same restaurant theyโ€™d eaten at last time.

Nora arrived early and paced around a private room on the second floor.

The room was elegant and artsy, decorated with screens and wooden plant stands.

Noraโ€™s brow was tightly furrowed. She walked slowly, looking anxious, and eventually stopped by a flower stand. With a scowl, she plucked a tightly closed red blossom, crushed it between her fingers, and let the petals fall into the flowerpot without even glancing at the red stain on her fingertip.

Yesterday, sheโ€™d gotten her hands on Yuniceโ€™s phoneโ€“but ended up getting her face caught on camera.

Nora was worried someone already knew sheโ€™d come to the medical university.

But sheโ€™d hidden there for an entire day and hadnโ€™t heard a peep.

She had no idea who had come out on top in Wendyโ€™s trap.

The school hadnโ€™t issued any disciplinary announcements.

But she also hadnโ€™t heard that Yunice had returned to the dorm.

Could she be detained by the school for questioning?

Just as she was weighing her optionsโ€“whether to head back to Silverburgh or notโ€“Wendy messaged her, asking to meet.

Sheโ€™d said yesterdayโ€™s plan had worked. Yunice had already been taken into custody by her uncle. Once the fallout blew over in a few days, theyโ€™d expel her.

That was the only reason Nora dared to show her face now.

Wendy arrived a few minutes late and pushed the door open.

Hearing the noise, Nora turned around immediately and said firmly, โ€œClose the door.โ€

Wendy ran over, excited, and grabbed Noraโ€™s hand. โ€œMs. Yunice, your idea was brilliant! Yunice really did get punished! And that teacher she was fooling around withโ€“the schoolโ€™s going after him too!โ€

โ€œI told you, the vice principalโ€™s my uncle. Taking care of this kind of thing is nothing for him!โ€

Nora discreetly pulled her hand back and wiped it with a wet tissue. Her expression was one of concern as she said, โ€œDonโ€™t celebrate just yet. Yunice is a pro at manipulating men. Thereโ€™s bound to be someone behind her whoโ€™ll fight for her. And when that happens, youโ€™re the one whoโ€™s going to be in trouble.โ€

Wendyโ€™s smile froze. The look she gave Nora had completely changed.

This womanโ€™s a real piece of work. She was the one who pushed me to frame Yunice, and now sheโ€™s acting all high and mighty, warning me Iโ€™ll suffer for it?

Damn it. Sheโ€™s just using me as a pawn.
