Chapter 349 Loaded
Yunice said, โWyatt, if youโre really feeling upset, I can help you sleep for a while.โ
Wyatt locked onto her wording. โYou mean youโll help me sleep, or let me sleep?โ

Yunice looked at him. She had already prepared herself for the possibility that she and Wyatt might one day consummate the marriage.
She was just about to say, "If sleeping with me will help you feel better, then Iโm okay with it," but Wyatt cut her off before she could speak.
โI originally wanted to wait until you were willing. But now itโs clear youโll never love me, so I donโt want to pretend anymore.โ
Yuniceโs brows furrowed slightly. She stared into Wyattโs eyes, trying to read the cold detachment in his gaze.
โWhat do you mean?โ she asked.
Wyatt said, โIโm done pretending.โ
Realizing he wasnโt joking, Yunice immediately tried to stand up.
Wyatt pressed down on the back of her neck, keeping her from escaping.
Yunice snapped, โWeโve barely even started this act and you already want to drop it? I havenโt taken the bait yet.โ
Sheโd long known that what Wyatt loved most was being the hunter.
He was a patient hunterโhe liked luring his prey into his trap little by little with sweet promises. Then, at the very moment the prey let its guard down and began to enjoy itself, heโd deliver the fatal shot.
Extreme joy, extreme painโthat was his game.
So even when Wyatt treated her well, Yunice always kept a sliver of caution in her heart.
She hadnโt expected him to run out of patience after just a few months.
Then again, for him, a few months was already pushing it. In the past, a month had been more than enough for any of the others.
No wonder he was tired of waiting.
Wyatt gripped the back of her neck, his jaw clenched. His voice was low and rough. โYeah, I donโt want to pretend anymore.โ
Yunice tried to pull back, but Wyattโs hand stayed firmโlike he was holding a disobedient cat. She couldnโt move.
Wyattโs gaze drifted downward, landing at her collar. โTake it off.โ
Yunice didnโt move. Anger swelled inside her.
She said, โIโm willing to give myself to you, but if you try to force it, I wonโt.โ
Wyatt challenged her. โAnd if I insist?โ
Yuniceโs hands trembled slightly. She didnโt answer.
Seeing that she didnโt outright refuse, Wyatt tilted her chin up and kissed her.
Yuniceโs whole body trembledโshe was struggling emotionally.
She could give herself to Wyatt. But now, at the very moment he laid it bare, the entire situation felt different.

Then, in one fluid motion, she reached down beside her leg, pulled something out, and with a loud clickโraised it in both hands, aiming straight at Wyattโs forehead.
Wyatt leaned back in the chair, staring at Yunice, who was now kneeling on top of him, holding a dark, loaded gun right at his face.
His sharp eyes glanced at the weapon. He gave a mocking smile and looked up at Yunice. โI really underestimated you. So all that obedienceโthat was just an act too, huh?โ
He reached a hand toward the gun. โDo you even know how to use this thing?โ
Before he could touch it, Yunice shouted, โDonโt move!โ
Wyatt looked confused. โWhy not? Afraid youโll accidentally shoot me? You donโt want me dead?โ
Yuniceโs hands trembled even harder. Her voice was tight from pressure. โDonโt push me. I donโt want to hurt you.โ
Wyatt asked, โWhy donโt you want to hurt me?โ
โYouโve never hurt me. Youโve actually been really good to me. Iโve always been grateful.โ
โGratefulโฆโ Wyatt lifted his eyes. โAnd yet youโre pointing a gun at me?โ
He grabbed her wrists, the ones holding the gun. โThen letโs seeโdo you dare pull the trigger?โ
Her hands shook even harder in his grasp.
But Wyatt only pushed further. Yunice struggled to break free, and the gun flew from her hands, clattering to the floor and skidding far across the room.
Out in the living room, the servants waited for the couple to come out for dinnerโbut no one came.
Not only did Wyatt not come out, but after Yunice entered the room, she didnโt come out either.
Then came the worst partโthe unmistakable sound of crashing and banging from inside the bedroom.
The servantsโ faces turned pale. That didnโt sound good. Were they fighting?
โYou go checkโฆโ
โIโฆ I donโt dare go in. You goโฆโ
The servants kept pushing the responsibility onto each other. But the noise inside was growing too loud and too violent. Worried that something had really happened, one of them ran to call Jordan, hoping he would know what to do.
