“Youyou…” Kieran’s face turned stormy.

Freya settled back into her chair and addressed Kieran, “Mr. Sutton, please.”

“Freya, think carefully before you speak.”

“Mr. Sutton, I’ve thought it over.”

Freya offered Kieran a slight smile and said, “Mr. Sutton, you said it. Today’s Valentine’s Day. It’s a day for lovers to celebrate together. You should be with Ms. Harwood, not taking me home. If Ms. Harwood sees us and gets the wrong idea, that wouldn’t be good.”

“Fine, Freya, remember what you said!”

With that, Kieran turned and left the restaurant with his guards.

Outside the restaurant, Jarrett looked worried. “Mr. Sutton, Ms. Dawson doesn’t want to leave. What should we do? If Mrs. Sutton…”

“Find out how Freya got that bruise,” Kieran frowned.

“Mr. Sutton, do you think those two threw dirt on Ms. Dawson? They look like they’re tight with Ms. Harwood. I’m a bit worried about asking…”

“Then ask the other people in the cafeteria.” Kieran’s face was like ice. “Do I need to spell it out for you?”

Jarrett nodded. “Of course, Mr. Sutton.”

Kieran glanced back at the restaurant where Freya and Ronan were chatting merrily, his brow furrowing deeper. “Wanting to spend Valentine’s Day with Ronan? Dream on, Freya!”

Kieran told Jarrett, “Get Mrs. Dawson on the phone. Tell her to straighten out her stepdaughter!”

“Understood.”

Later that afternoon, Freya returned home from school.

Upon seeing Freya, Johanna was livid. She pointed at Freya’s nose and scolded, “Freya! Where were you at noon?”

“Who do you think you are to meddle with my life, Johanna?”

Seeing Freya talk back, Johanna’s eyes bulged. “None of my business? Freya! Do you know Mr. Sutton even called here?”

“Really?” Freya replied nonchalantly, “And how is that my problem?”

“Not your problem? You’re flirting with another man before your fiancé! Have you lost your mind?”

Johanna thought Freya had gone mad! She had never seen an engaged woman gallivanting with another and still acting so righteous!

Freya coldly said, “Kieran also often dates Eloise. What’s the problem?”

Johanna fumed. “How dare you compare yourself to Kieran? Can a woman do what a man does? What a joke!”

Hearing Johanna’s words, Freya raised an eyebrow. “What you’re saying, Johanna, is… men can fool around, but women can’t?”

“Rich and powerful men can fool around. The Dawson family needs the Sutton family now. How dare you mess around?” After that, Johanna commanded, “Tonight, you must visit the Sutton family and make amends with Audrey. That’s what matters! Do you hear me?”

As Johanna finished, there was a knock at the door. Johanna opened the door to find Jarrett standing there.

Johanna’s face brightened up when she saw someone from the Sutton family. “Secretary Jarrett, are you here for Freya? She just got back!”

Grabbing Freya, Johanna said, “Freya was about to apologize to Mr. Sutton. She didn’t mean to accept the invitation this afternoon. She was being considerate of Mr. Beckett’s feelings.”

“Ms. Dawson is willing to come with us. That’s good.” Jarrett offered a polite smile. “Ms. Dawson, this way, please.”
