Kieran protected Eloise. “Grandma, Ellie tried to mend things between Freya and me and genuinely wished us well. You’ve misunderstood her. She never aspired to be the lady of the Sutton family.”

Seeing Kieran still speaking up for Eloise, Audrey couldn’t help but laugh. “How can my grandson be so naive? A few words from this woman, and you believe her? Now I see why Freya insisted on breaking off the engagement! Ms. Harwood is so cunning.”
