Chapter 894: What Should We Do Now?

“Were they wearing their watches when they left?” Madilyn asked, her brow furrowed, her voice calmer than Roxanne’s.

A sudden realization struck Roxanne, accompanied by immediate regret and frustration. Too much had happened; Archie and Benny's disappearance had overshadowed everything else until panic took over. Fortunately, she had gone to find Madilyn.

Following Madilyn's suggestion, Roxanne immediately called Archie and Benny. Archie didn't answer, even after a long time. Benny's call went unanswered as well. As the ringing tones echoed, their hearts sank. Numerous reasons could explain their silence, the worst possibilities flashing through their minds.

Roxanne dug her nails into her palms, fighting to remain calm. Unlocking her phone, she checked the GPS location of Archie and Benny's watches. Seeing the two tiny green dots on the screen brought a wave of relief.

“Phew! I can still track them!” she exclaimed.

“I’ll drive,” Madilyn said, having also seen the location and already starting the car.

Roxanne nodded weakly, her gaze fixed on the seemingly overlapping green dots, afraid to look away. Fortunately, the dots remained stationary, making tracking Archie and Benny seem straightforward.

A strange sense of familiarity washed over Roxanne as she studied the distance between their current location and the green dots. But then she dismissed the thought as absurd.

Meanwhile, in her bedroom at the Farwell residence, Estella tilted her head, puzzled by the incessant flashing of Archie and Benny's watches.

“It seems someone is calling you, Archie,” she said.

Archie glanced at the caller ID, then shook his head guiltily. “No, it’s just my alarm.” He quickly hid his wrist.

Moments later, Benny’s watch flashed. He dismissed it with the same lie. As their watches continued to flash, Archie and Benny exchanged a knowing glance. Mommy will definitely come looking for us using the GPS on our watches when we don't answer! Then she'll meet Mr. Farwell! they thought.

Twenty minutes later, Madilyn pulled up to the gates of the Farwell residence. Seeing the grand house and nameplate, her expression changed, and she glanced instinctively at Roxanne. Roxanne's expression was even more telling. My mind was so preoccupied, I didn't even realize the GPS location was the Farwell residence! Roxanne thought.

“I’ve always wanted to ask,” Madilyn ventured, “have Archie and Benny learned about their identities?”

Roxanne's pupils constricted. After a moment, she shook her head, feigning calmness. “No. I’ve never told them. Even Lucian doesn’t know.” They couldn't possibly know before Lucian, she thought.

Helplessness washed over Madilyn as she observed her friend. She could see Roxanne wasn't sure, merely trying to convince herself. Instead of pressing further, Madilyn simply asked, “So, what should we do now?”

Roxanne lifted her eyes, staring at the manor gates. Exasperation flickered in her eyes. It’s obvious they deliberately ignored my calls, wanting me to find them. But I have no other choice.

“Go home. I’ll go in and see what’s going on,” Roxanne murmured apologetically, opening the car door and getting out.
