Chapter 684 Help

โ€œMr. Powell! Are you alright!โ€

Philip, who had just parked the car nearby, looked at Felix with panic in his eyes.

Felix had said he wanted to go out for a drive but didnโ€™t specify where, so Philip took the initiative and drove to the mall closest to Merylโ€™s address.

Unexpectedly, just as they were entering the underground parking garage before the car could even come to a complete stop, he witnessed a shocking scene.

When Felix saw Meryl being chased by a small truck, he immediately jumped out of the car and rushed forward.

Felixโ€™s legs had only just recovered enough to stand, still in the healing process, when this accident occurred.

Philipโ€™s eyes instantly welled up with tears.

His luck was too cruel! Heโ€™d been hit and thrown through the air while trying to stop that truck!

A piece of the truckโ€™s windshield had shattered. Felix must have been seriously injured!

Rocky hadnโ€™t expected that right at the moment of success, a man would suddenly run out in front of his truck.

Glass shards from the windshield flew straight into his eyes, blurring Rockyโ€™s vision.

Despite the pain, Rocky immediately tried to turn the truck around.

Now that heโ€™d been caught and knew the mall security wasnโ€™t to be underestimated, he had to escape quickly or risk another prison sentence.

Everything appeared red before his eyes as Rocky roughly rubbed them.

However, seeing that he was about to flee, Felix suddenly planted one foot on the truckโ€™s hood and leaped onto the vehicle.

At that moment, blood was still dripping from the corner of Felixโ€™s lips, but his sinister eyes resembled those of a demon rising from hell to claim souls. One glance was enough to make anyoneโ€™s spirit tremble.

For some reason, Rocky suddenly felt afraid as he realized this man looked familiar.

He must have seen him in prison.

Word was that this guy had spent an entire decade inside, and no one dared mess with him. Even the guards would take the long way around to avoid him.

During his year in prison, Rocky had heard plenty of stories about this man.

But shortly after Rocky was locked up, Felix had been released.

What Rocky couldnโ€™t figure out was why this man suddenly appeared at the mall, deliberately placing himself between Meryl and danger.

Heโ€™d heard Felix was a cold-blooded killer but never that he was the type to save people.

Felix kicked the windshield again, completely shattering it. With a cold smirk, he reached in and yanked Rocky straight out of the driverโ€™s seat.

Rocky hadnโ€™t expected such skill and was utterly unprepared. Before he knew what was happening, his body was airborne.

Felix executed a perfect shoulder throw, slamming Rocky hard onto the ground from the small truck.

With a dull thud, Rockyโ€™s head hit first. His vision exploded with stars, and it felt like his brain was about to burst.

Felix jumped down from the truck, planted his foot on Rockyโ€™s face, and ground down hard.

โ€œDid you ask my permission before touching whatโ€™s mine? Huh?โ€

Felixโ€™s ice-cold voice dropped from above, and at that moment, Rocky felt like he was hearing his death countdown.

He felt a wet warmth spread beneath him, followed by the sharp smell of urine. Felixโ€™s demeanor had literally scared the piss out of Rocky.

Philip rushed over, quickly restraining Rocky, but turned worriedly to Felix. โ€œMr. Powell! Youโ€™re bleeding! Where are you hurt?โ€

Felix appeared unharmed on the outside, but blood kept pouring from his mouth, soaking his white shirt and blooming into a crimson flower.

Philip knew all too well. Felix had slammed into the car, and these could be signs of internal injuries!

And all this blood was internal bleeding!

That was far more lethal than any external wound!

Felix remained silent, turning his head to look at Meryl.

Meryl was on her knees, clutching her stomach, with a pool of blood beneath her.

โ€œMeryl! Meryl! Whatโ€™s wrong!โ€

Merylโ€™s phone had fallen to the ground, still connected to Chandlerโ€™s call. His worried voice came through the speaker, but no one paid any attention.

Merylโ€™s stomach kept tightening painfully, and her lower back, where the car bumper had hit her, was throbbing. The pain was so intense she could barely stand, forcing her to take deep breaths.

Dalton moved to pick her up.

Felix stepped forward. โ€œDonโ€™t you dare touch her!โ€

Blood continued to drip from the corner of Felixโ€™s lips, and with each step he took, his shoes left crimson footprints on the ground.

A trail of red footprints marked his path.

Though his steps were unsteady and his vision blurred, he insisted on making his way to Merylโ€™s side, roughly shoving Dalton aside.

โ€œAre you okay?โ€ Felix looked at Meryl, โ€œHang in there, Iโ€™ll get you to the hospital.โ€

Though his words were meant for Meryl, she was in too much pain to hear them, her ears ringing.

Dalton stood in Felixโ€™s way, refusing to budge. โ€œYouโ€™re covered in blood yourself! How are you going to take anyone to the hospital? Let me handle this!โ€

Having grown up in the Aniston familyโ€™s privileged bubble with a silver spoon in his mouth, Dalton was used to having people jump at his every command.

Never in his life had he seen so much blood, and even in fights, heโ€™d never seen anyone beat someone as viciously as Felix had.

He definitely wouldnโ€™t have done what Felix did, risking his own life without hesitation.

Dalton had been closest to Meryl at that moment, but when he saw the car actually about to hit her, he hesitated.

If heโ€™d been as fearless as Felix, he could have pulled Meryl away before Felix even got there.

Those few seconds of hesitation had cost Meryl, leaving her lower back injured from the bumper. Dalton felt incredibly guilty, knowing he could have prevented all of this.

Now, he wanted to make up for it somehow.

Taking a couple of deep breaths, Dalton finally felt his nerves settling and his hands steadying.

He bent down, preparing to lift Meryl.

Felix let out a cold snort, his merciless eyes like those of a predator lurking in the darkness.

Despite his deathly pale face, Felixโ€™s grip was firm as he held Daltonโ€™s arm in an iron grip. โ€œWho do you think you are? Youโ€™re already out of the game, so stop trying to stick your nose where it doesnโ€™t belong. Donโ€™t you agree?โ€

His words made Daltonโ€™s face darken with humiliation.

Out of the game?

โ€œI just wanted to help someone.โ€

โ€œAs if you have the right.โ€

Their eyes locked in a silent battle, tension crackling between them.

Just then, a womanโ€™s piercing scream echoed from the stairwell not far from where they stood.

It was followed by what sounded like something heavy hitting the ground.

Seconds later, Lydia clutched her stomach and cried out in pain, โ€œHelpโ€ฆ somebody help me.โ€
