Chapter 582

Finley scoffed, shocked that Andrew was actually trying to fleece five million out of Aspen. He could not help but think Andrewโ€™s greed was going to be the death of him.

Irene stood with her hands on her hips, smirking. โ€œAndrew, youโ€™ve got quite a show going today, but let me tell you somethingโ€“our family may not have brought a large crowd, but weโ€™re not someone you can push around!โ€

Leroy puffed up his chest and added, โ€œYeah! Aspenโ€™s got family fighters with her. Youโ€™re in for a world of pain soon!โ€

โ€œShut up, both of you!โ€ Christina snapped, her brow furrowed in frustration.

โ€œWhy should we?โ€ Irene huffed. โ€œWith Aspen backing us, weโ€™ve got every right to show off a little!โ€

She crossed her arms and scowled. โ€œBesides, look at this fancy medical center Andrewโ€™s opened. Itโ€™s practically a luxury resort. I canโ€™t stand the thought of him living it up like this!โ€

Leroy nodded eagerly. โ€œExactly! Andrew dumped you, and now heโ€™s thrivingโ€“first buying that fancy Mercedes, and now opening this place. It just proves you were blind, Christie! You let a golden opportunity slip right through your fingers.โ€

Christinaโ€™s expression tightened. Deep down, she could not deny that their words stung. She had always prided herself on making smart choices, yet Andrewโ€™s unexpected success gnawed at her pride. He had not even worked that hard for it, yet here he was, flourishing.

The thought burned her. It was as if Andrewโ€™s rise was a slap to her egoโ€“a harsh reminder of her missteps and misplaced judgment.

Taking a steady breath, Christina addressed Andrew. โ€œAndrew, Aspenโ€™s here to settle things with Madblade Martial Academy. But more importantly, youโ€™ve crossed her too many timesโ€“especially at the artifact auction where you seized billions of her investment without returning a cent.

โ€œIf you want to keep your Moonlit Apothecary intact, youโ€™d be wise to apologize to Aspen and pay her back.โ€

Andrewโ€™s gaze hardened. โ€œChristina, when did you become her messenger?โ€

He sneered. โ€œAspenโ€™s a lunatic. Donโ€™t you see sheโ€™s going to drag your Stevens familyโ€™s fragile assets down with her?โ€

Christinaโ€™s eyes blazed as she snapped, โ€œWatch your mouth! That was a warning, Andrew. If Aspen gives the order, I wonโ€™t be able to stop her.โ€

Andrew chuckled softly, shaking his head. โ€œAfter all this time, youโ€™re still blind to the truth.โ€

โ€œGo ahead, Christina. Let Aspen make her move. Then weโ€™ll see if she crawls back to Bridgefields in tearsโ€“or if Iโ€™m the one on my knees apologizing.โ€

โ€œYouโ€™re playing with fire,โ€ Christina warned icily. โ€œYou think you can keep winning? You have no idea how powerful Bridgefieldsโ€™ Stevens family is. If you push them too far, do you really think Mr. Yates and those other big names will go to war for you?โ€

Aspen cut in, her voice dripping with disdain. โ€œChristina, stop wasting words on a dead man walking. Once I settle things with Rodney, Andrewโ€™s next.โ€

Christina sighed deeply, her voice now cold and detached. โ€œFine. Your feud with Aspen is your problem now. But mark my wordsโ€”when youโ€™re lying on the ground, begging for mercy, donโ€™t look to me for help. I wonโ€™t lift a finger.โ€
