Aspen said, “I’ve just arrived in Jayrodale, but I’ve already investigated everything thoroughly. You helped Stevens Corporation, and Mr. Stevens Senior then spoke up for you at the family dinner, attempting to reconcile you and Christie. Is this true?”

“The event occurred, but I was unaware of Mr. Stevens Senior’s intentions,” Andrew replied coldly.

“Excuses!” Aspen laughed mockingly. “Clearly, you manipulated Mr. Stevens Senior to advocate for you, all to get back with Christie. Your help to the family was insincere; your motives were purely self-serving. Christie would be foolish to choose someone like you.”

Andrew shook his head and clapped sarcastically. “Aspen, despite this being our first meeting, I’m impressed.”

“Impressed that I exposed your true colors?” Aspen sneered.

Andrew smiled. “Yes, genuinely impressed! I never expected to meet someone so idiotic. It’s remarkably rare—I can’t help but be impressed.”

Aspen fumed. “Andrew, don’t think Christie’s presence will prevent me from teaching you a lesson. You should inquire about my family’s standing in Bridgefields.”

Andrew shrugged. “I couldn’t care less who you are. Though people like you usually learn their lessons the hard way.”

He left with Dylan. One Christina Stevens was already self-righteous and foolish enough; now there was an even worse Aspen. Andrew felt his day was ruined.

“Don’t mind him, Aspen,” Christina consoled, watching them leave. “Andrew is actually quite decent. He’s simply proud and sometimes sharp-tongued, always contrarian.”

Aspen scoffed. “He’s a nobody—not worth my attention. Remember, Christie, you’re a perfect gem. Stay away from Andrew; he’s unworthy of you.”

Christina hesitated. “Aspen, Andrew really isn’t as bad as you think.”

Aspen retorted, “I’m never wrong about people, and that man is worthless. With your qualities, you could have any good man. Once we deal with the Weller family, I’ll introduce you to some eligible gentlemen from Bridgefields or Blumedale.”

Christina shook her head. “I’m not interested in relationships right now. Maybe later.”

Aspen smiled. “That’s fine. Come on, I’ll introduce you to Natasha Vostokoff, the queen of West End. She invited me upon my arrival. This influential woman seems eager to connect with our Bridgefields family through me.”

Christina was uneasy. “Maybe we shouldn’t, Aspen. Madam Vostokoff is the most powerful woman in Jayrodale. Would she even acknowledge me?”

Aspen declared proudly, “Don’t worry, Natasha wouldn’t dare refuse me. I plan to establish connections with all major powers in Jayrodale. With me here, the Weller family won’t cause any trouble.”
