Shiloh whipped her head around, her eyes ice-cold. She asked, โYouโre going to stop me?โ
Andrew avoided looking directly at her eyes, which had no whites left. He could not tell if she was still the same innocent and kind Shiloh from before, so it was best not to confront her head-on.
He said firmly, โShiloh, you canโt keep killing people! I know youโre angry inside, maybe even filled with hatred. But you just awakened, so you must still have a lot of things you need to do, right? So please, stop this. Spare their lives!โ
Andrew stepped forward with a serious expression.
Shiloh snorted coldly. โI already told you I donโt want you meddling in my affairs. If it werenโt for the fact that you helped me in the past and youโre a decent person, I would have killed you along with them just now!โ
Andrew said in a deep voice, โSo you do remember that I helped you in the past. Then let me ask you thisโฆ Do you remember who you really are now?โ
Confusion flickered across Shilohโs face. She nodded, then shook her head. โI remember a lot of thingsโฆ I remember who I am! But thereโs still so much that no matter how hard I try to remember, I just canโt recall!โ
As she spoke these words, her face showed obvious pain.
Andrew quickly said, โThatโs how amnesia works. You need special triggers to help you remember the past. So, Shiloh, donโt force yourself to remember. Just let it happen naturally.โ
She seemed to take Andrewโs words to heart, as the pain disappeared from her face and she gave an almost imperceptible nod.
Andrew felt encouraged, seeing that she was still willing to listen to him. So, he pressed further, saying, โShiloh, I donโt know why your Greene family became enemies of the martial arts world. But since youโre the last member of the Greene family, I hope youโll stop killing people and focus on living a good life instead. Thatโs the right path.โ
Shiloh smiled coldly. โWhy shouldnโt I kill these insects? Originally, I could have just ignored them. But since theyโre asking for death and delivered themselves right to my doorstep, of course Iโm going to send them straight to hell!โ
Andrew raised his voice. โNo, youโre wrong! There are so many people in the Holtrien martial arts worldโฆ Do you think you can kill them all? Shiloh, trust me. The more people you kill, the more enemies youโll make. Eventually, youโll be trapped in endless battles.โ
Shiloh raised an eyebrow contemptuously as she looked at Andrew. โYou think Iโd be afraid?โ
Andrew smiled bitterly. โWith your power, of course, you wouldnโt be afraid! But you canโt spend your whole life just fighting and killing, can you? Look, you just woke up, so you must have plenty of important things to take care of.โ
He continued, โYou used to love working part-time jobs and making money, didnโt you? I think you were earning all that money for certain people or things you needed to accomplish, right?โ
Confusion appeared on Shilohโs face once again. She stood there frozen, furrowing her delicate brows as she thought deeply. Finally, she turned to look at Andrew.
โYouโre not wrong. I do have a lot of urgent things I need to handle. But that doesnโt stop me from killing these two idiots who donโt know when to quit first! Mistveil Peak and the East Veridianโs Drache family are both nothing but trouble! Just seeing them makes me feel disgusted beyond words.โ
She reached out, ready to smash Ernestoโs head with one palm strike.
Andrew panicked, realizing that despite all his persuasion, Shiloh was still incredibly bloodthirsty.
In desperation, he rushed forward and grabbed her small hand, shouting, โShiloh, you really canโt kill anyone else! If you keep doing this, youโll only make the conflict worse. Then, when I want to help you in the future, I wonโt know how!โ
Shilohโs small face erupted in fury, and black energy swirled around her body as she swung her other hand to strike Andrew.
