Chapter 173

โ€œJust buy me a Bugatti, or give me your Porsche Panamera, and Iโ€™ll help you get back together with Christina. What do you say?โ€ Leroy pressed eagerly.

Before Andrew could respond, Harvey exploded. โ€œLeroy, have you no shame? How dare you try to sell out Christina for your own gain? Did you even consider my feelings?โ€

Leroy retorted, โ€œHarvey, youโ€™re drowning in debt, and youโ€™re nothing but a broke loser. Why should I care about your feelings when youโ€™re worth nothing? Since youโ€™re too pathetic to provide for her, Christina obviously canโ€™t be with you.โ€

Harvey had never faced such humiliation and was fuming.

โ€œLeroy, one more word, and you can get out of here,โ€ Christina snapped coldly. โ€œI donโ€™t need either of you men deciding my life for me. Do you think I canโ€™t survive without you?โ€

Leroyโ€™s words had struck deep. They implied she was dependent on Harvey or Andrew, but Christina believed she didnโ€™t need anyone to lead Stevens Corporation to success.

โ€œChristie, donโ€™t be angry. I was just talking nonsense,โ€ Leroy quickly apologized, seeing her genuine anger.

Christina ignored him and turned to Andrew, her eyes reddened. โ€œI know youโ€™ve won this time. Meanwhile, the Stevens family and I have been played for fools.โ€

โ€œAndrew, Iโ€™m sure youโ€™re mocking me, thinking Iโ€™m an idiot. You probably think Iโ€™m blind for leaving you and failing since then, right?โ€ she continued, her voice trembling.

Andrew frowned. โ€œYou are indeed a foolishly proud woman, but Iโ€™m not so petty as to kick you while youโ€™re down.โ€

Christinaโ€™s tears flowed, but her voice remained ice-cold. โ€œAndrew, Iโ€™ll never admit defeat. Iโ€™ll prove leaving you wasnโ€™t a mistake. You may have succeeded this time, but one success doesnโ€™t mean anything! Iโ€™m still the CEO of Stevens Corporation, and my achievements remain far beyond your reach.โ€

Andrew smirked sarcastically. โ€œSo, what youโ€™re saying is, no matter what I achieve, Iโ€™ll never be good enough in your eyes?โ€

Christina wiped away her tears and spoke indifferently. โ€œIโ€™m not comparing myself to you. Iโ€™m reminding you that one small success doesnโ€™t define everything. One day, Andrew, youโ€™ll see just how wide the gap between us really is.โ€

With that, she regained her composure and strode away.

Harvey quickly followed, but as he passed Andrew, he couldnโ€™t resist one final jab. โ€œSee that, Andrew? Even as the winner, you still canโ€™t win Christinaโ€™s heart. Whatโ€™s one setback for me? Iโ€™ll soon be the head of the Weller family, and when I have that power, Iโ€™ll shine brighter than ever. No matter what, Christina will still end up in my arms.โ€

โ€œThatโ€™s the difference between us, Andrew,โ€ Harvey continued smugly. โ€œYouโ€™re a nobody from nowhere, while I was born into the Weller family with everything. Just wait and seeโ€”Christina will be mine!โ€

Harvey left with a triumphant smile, disappointed by Andrewโ€™s lack of jealousy or defeat. Andrewโ€™s gaze followed him as if watching an insignificant insect crawl away.
