Chapter 114
Harveyโs smile twisted into a sinister grin. โSo what if itโs a threat? Iโm Harvey Weller, heir to the Weller family and one of Jayrodaleโs elite four. If I werenโt concerned about Christie becoming suspicious, I would have dealt with you already.โ
Andrew chuckled, unfazed. โYouโre awfully confident. Why donโt you try?โ
Harvey narrowed his eyes. โWhat do you have that could possibly compare to me, Andrew? I know what youโre afterโChristina. While sheโs far beyond your reach, sheโll be mine soon. Then, I can have her as I please.โ
Andrew replied calmly, โChristina and I are finished, and you needn't flaunt your supposed superiority. But let me warn youโdonโt push your luck. Iโm not as patient as you think, and if you go too far, you and the Weller family will regret it.โ
With that, Andrew strolled into the private dining room, smiling, brushing past Harvey as if he were an insignificant insect.
Harvey clenched his fists, his eyes blazing with rage. He couldn't believe that Andrew dared to threaten him, and the entire Weller family. Crushing Andrew would be simple, given their power. Nevertheless, there was no rush. Once he had Christina completely under his control, he would thoroughly humiliate Andrew.
โHarvey, the foodโs here. Letโs eat!โ Leroy called out. Noticing Harveyโs demeanor, he added, โHarvey, are you alright? You donโt look well.โ
Harvey forced a laugh. โIโm fine, Leroy. What do you think of me? Am I worthy of Christie? Be honest.โ
Leroy immediately gave a thumbs-up. โHarvey, youโre like a god among menโabsolutely perfect for Christie. You two are a match made in heaven!โ
Harvey chuckled, feeling better. He wished Andrew could witness the Stevens family's view of him. He couldn't comprehend how Andrew dared challenge him.
At the table, Andrew ate without hesitation.
โAndrew, slow down before you choke,โ Christina said with concern.
Irene glared at her daughter and whispered, โChristie, youโre focusing on the wrong person!โ
โMom, I was just reminding him!โ Christina sighed.
Leroy eagerly poured red wine for Harvey. โHarvey, let me make a toast to you.โ
โPour me some too,โ Andrew said casually, setting down his glass.
โWhy canโt you pour it yourself?โ Leroy snapped. โWhat makes you think I should serve you?โ
โWho do you think you are, making my son pour your wine?โ Irene added angrily.
โWhatโs wrong with him pouring my wine?โ Andrew replied indifferently. โHave you forgotten Iโm in charge of the orphanage project? You invited me to dinner as your business partner; shouldnโt you be serving the wine?โ
Irene, furious, held her tongue, remembering Andrewโs position. Stevens Corporation needed to maintain a cordial relationship with a Wealthroller Investments executive.
Leroy slammed the bottle down. โPour it yourself. Iโm not your servant.โ
Andrew wiped his mouth and stood. โWell, if Stevens Corporation shows so little sincerity, perhaps we should put the South City Orphanage project on hold.โ
Christina frowned. โAndrew, is it really worth making such a big deal over a glass of wine?โ
