Revenge Forged in Prison

Chapter 201: Bring It Out

Despite her parents’ attempts to stop her, Yelena impulsively said, “Isn’t Caleb’s act of tarnishing the bride’s reputation at someone else’s wedding and infuriating the groom a result of a lack of discipline?”

George slapped her again, apologizing profusely. “Ms. Yardley, I am truly sorry. My disobedient daughter has upset you again. I will take her home immediately and discipline her so she won’t bother you anymore.”

Chelsea promptly intervened. “No need. I plan to clear things up with her today.”

Immediately, she turned to Yelena. “Ms. Quixall, you claim that Caleb is tarnishing the bride’s reputation. Do you have any evidence to support this?”

Yelena’s cheeks were flushed and swollen, yet she still held her chin high and said, “The bride herself admitted that he is skilled at imitating others’ handwriting. Isn’t the letter written in the bride’s handwriting the perfect evidence?”

Chelsea scoffed. “I initially thought you had some real evidence, but it turns out you’re just relying on someone else’s word!”

Yelena flushed in embarrassment. “If that’s the case, Ms. Yardley, don’t you also lack evidence?”

Chelsea let out a soft chuckle. “Who said I don’t have any evidence?”

The next moment, she called out to the crowd, “Come out, Ms. Salter!”

As the group was busy speculating who it was, a young woman dressed in a yellow sundress and light makeup emerged. Upon their meeting, she immediately lowered her gaze toward Chelsea. “Ms. Yardley, I have prepared all the evidence you requested. Would you like me to present it now?”

Chelsea nodded. “Do it. The timing is perfect. If we miss this moment, they might not acknowledge it later.”

Seiren took out the photographs, holding them up high. “Mr. and Mrs. Quixall, this is the evidence Ms. Yardley requested. Three years ago, when Mr. Jesse wasn’t home and both of you had to leave for business, only us housekeepers were left in the house. At that time, Mr. Doyle arrived at our house, claiming he had business with Ms. Levinson. Despite my attempts to stop him, he barged into Ms. Levinson’s room. Out of concern for Ms. Levinson’s safety, I waited outside the door. After waiting for a while, I heard the sound of things being thrown around from inside. Worried that something might happen to Ms. Levinson, I cautiously opened the door to take a peek. I also took out my phone to capture whatever I saw, just in case Mr. Doyle denied anything later on. However, when I opened the door, instead of seeing Mr. Doyle using violence against Ms. Levinson, what I witnessed was the two of them passionately locked in a kiss…”

One could tell from the expression on Seiren’s face just how intense the situation was at that time.

Raquel cried out, “You’re lying! I’ve never done that!”

With a sympathetic tone, Seiren said, “Ms. Levinson, there’s no point in deceiving yourself and others. What benefit would I get from lying? On the contrary, if you admit it honestly, Mr. Jesse might even forgive you. However, if it’s discovered later, you’re in for a lot of trouble.”

Raquel grimaced. “Are you threatening me?”

Seiren spoke calmly. “Ms. Levinson, you’re overthinking. My brother’s future is in your hands. What can I possibly threaten you with?”

Upon hearing her words, everyone around couldn’t help but react with shock and dismay. Raquel had always been a picture of grace and gentility for as long as anyone could remember. Many men pursued her, jesting that anyone fortunate enough to marry such a virtuous woman would be blessed with a life of peace and contentment. However, it didn’t seem to be the case any longer.
