Revenge Forged in Prison

Chapter 121: The Hand Was Brutally Pierced Through

“Ms. Sherman, this is crazy! We shouldn’t delay; let’s head to the hospital right away.”

Chelsea made a phone call, and shortly after, a red BMW gradually approached them.

“Ms. Sherman, please get in the car quickly. Your hand needs urgent medical attention. If we delay any longer, you might lose its function.”

Gianna didn’t decline the offer and, as instructed, got into the car.

Inside, the initial wave of emotions gradually subsided, and the questions she had earlier slowly began to surface. What on earth did Chelsea want with Caleb? Why would a daughter from a prominent family, with no ties to Caleb, help him without any hesitation?

Numerous questions swirled in Gianna’s mind, yet considering Caleb’s condition, she refrained from voicing them. These questions could wait; it wasn’t worth upsetting Ms. Yardley over such trivial matters, potentially putting Caleb’s life at risk.

Once they arrived at the hospital, Gianna took Chelsea to the emergency room where Caleb was. After a round of discussion and examination, the doctor understood Chelsea’s condition. Thus, he skipped the bureaucratic procedures and immediately began preparations for the blood transfusion.

It wasn’t until she saw the blood flowing from the tube into Caleb’s veins that she truly felt at ease.

“Ms. Sherman, while Mr. Jenkins is undergoing the blood transfusion, you should quickly seek another doctor to tend to your wounds.”

The doctor glanced at the back of Gianna’s hand and let out a sigh. He remembered her being perfectly fine when she left. How did she end up like this upon her return? Her dress was covered in mud, and that was the least of it. A spike had pierced through the back of her hand, a sight that was enough to make anyone squirm. It’s hard to fathom who could be so heartless, to not even spare such a kind soul.

Upon hearing the doctor’s words, Gianna paused for a moment, only then remembering that her injury hadn’t been tended to yet.

“Alright, Mr. Langford, could you please keep an eye on the situation here for me? I’ll be right back.”

She had barely taken a step when she turned around and came back.

“Remember,” she implored, “don’t let my father know about my affairs. I don’t want my personal matters to involve the Sherman family.”

How could Norman not feel heartbroken, seeing the girl he had watched grow up suffer such an injury?

Chapter 121: The Hand Was Brutally Pierced Through

The sharp awl had pierced from the back of the hand through to the palm, leaving only the handle resting on the back. In her early years, any fall or mishap would be met with concern from all the staff of the Sherman family. But now, a single visit to the Quixall residence had caused her to suffer such a severe injury!

For a moment, his anger overpowered reason. For the first time, Norman defied Gianna’s orders. As soon as Gianna left, he gave Phillip a call and revealed everything he had witnessed.

“Mr. Sherman, Ms. Sherman has returned, but she has been injured at the Quixall residence. Her entire left hand was pierced by an awl, and furthermore, there were traces of a shoe imprint on her hand. It’s clear that the awl was deliberately stepped on!”

Phillip was initially in a meeting, but when he saw that the incoming call was from Norman, he decided to answer it. Upon hearing what Norman had said, he felt a surge of anger instantly well up in his eyes.

“I’m going to see the Levinson family to settle the score. Even if it means the Sherman family goes bankrupt, I won’t let Liu Ruyan off the hook!”

The employees present exchanged glances. Having worked in the company for many years, they had never seen Phillip lose his temper to such an extent.

“It seems this matter is likely related to Ms. Sherman. After all, she is the only one who can cause Mr. Sherman to be so upset.”

“Meeting adjourned!”

With his hands behind his back, Phillip strode out.
