Suddenly, a thought flashed across Madelyn’s mind. It seemed as if she had remembered something; her eyes widened instantly. Janessa! That’s right. This must be it. “Janessa?” Cheryl was astounded. “That’s right. If you hadn’t mentioned her, I would’ve almost forgotten about that despicable woman. This matter is definitely related to her!” After all, Janessa was the most likely mastermind.
Madelyn chuckled dismissively. “Cheryl, you should remember, right? From the start, I intended to collaborate with you to prevent Janessa from climbing the ranks. Therefore, if you’re without any solutions this time, I think I might be able to lend you a hand.”
Cheryl’s eyes lit up. She was worried and unsure what to do. Madelyn's offer of help was unexpected and delightful. “Since you’re willing to accept my help, you should obediently follow my advice,” Madelyn added.
Immediately, Cheryl nodded. “Just tell me what you need.”
Madelyn instructed, “If you wish to vindicate your mother’s innocence, first find the man who insulted her. I remember him mentioning Moana Corporation, right? That company was a major real estate tycoon twenty years ago. Investigating his identity should be easy. Once you’ve gathered enough evidence, find out who’s pulling the strings. If he’s reluctant to cooperate, leverage his family. I believe he’ll have the sense to cooperate.”
Madelyn explained the entire plan. After hearing it, Cheryl agreed without hesitation. “Thank you for your guidance, Ms. Thornton. I’ll follow through right away.”
After ending the call, Cheryl summoned her subordinate and relayed Madelyn’s instructions. The subordinate, taking the task seriously, carried it out promptly.
However, the investigation caused a stir. Javier, no fool, quickly informed Janessa. “Ms. Sherritt, Cheryl has already begun investigating you.”

“Over the past few days, I’ve been dealing with company matters, which is why I haven’t taken any action against Madelyn. Little did I expect that she would stir up trouble first. She’s truly a piece of work!” Janessa hurled a cup to the floor.
Javier, seeing her fury, cautiously asked, “What are your plans now, Ms. Sherritt? Do you want me to deal with Madelyn for you?”
“Of course!” Janessa snapped. “This foolish woman dares to challenge me? That’s like striking a stone with an egg. She overestimates herself. I’ll have to put her in her place.”
