Chapter 367

Nick laughed angrily. He looked at Camellia with disdain and thought, “She plays wildly with Colin. I didn’t expect her to be such a promiscuous woman. I thought she acted like this only to please me. But when she is in Colin’s arms, she is much more promiscuous. Absolutely disgraceful."

Nick said, “Your lips have been all over Colin’s private parts. Just thinking about you kissing me makes me feel utterly disgusted.”

Tears filled Camellia’s eyes. She thought, “That bitch, Maris, has ruined my life!"

Nick slumped to the ground in complete despair. He was filled with regret. If he had known it would turn out like this, he would never have divorced Wendy. He now found Camellia wasn’t anything special.

Nick had been pretty miserable since he parted ways with Wendy. Before, no matter how busy Wendy was, she would brew Nick coffee every morning. Every month, Wendy bought Nick lots of gifts. Just a few sweet words from Nick, and Wendy would be thrilled like a little girl.

Almost without realizing it, Nick’s mind was filled with thoughts of Wendy. Now, in his eyes, Camellia appeared messy and unkempt.

Camellia slept in every day. She didn’t allow any help at home, even though she could afford it. She insisted on doing everything herself. Nick remarked inwardly, “She’s acting like a small-time player. How did I not notice those flaws before?"

He felt his regret growing. He thought, “Considering Wendy’s abilities, maybe she still has a chance to turn things around. But with Wendy’s temperament, there’s no way she would take me back."

The more Nick thought about it, the angrier he became. Compared to before, now he was just an oily old guy with nothing. He abruptly stood up, glaring at Camellia with anger.

He said, “Camellia, how could you? How could you have a relationship with Colin like that? Even if you both had something, it should have been kept under wraps, not discovered like this. Then we wouldn’t have been embarrassed tonight. We were kicked out like that before all those important people. How am I supposed to face everyone after this? We are legally married. Your betrayal is a weight crushing me. With Maris’s personality, she will retaliate against my company. Plus, her family is as powerful as the Wayne family, and they won’t spare Colin either.”

Jennifer was also worried about this. If Nick’s company went under, it would end up being a burden for her.

Camellia was so angry that she completely forgot about it. She said, “Jennifer, you should head back tonight. There’s no need to stay here. I’ll handle what happened tonight.”

Camellia shot a cold glance at Nick and mocked him with a sneer: “Nick, you’re such a failure. Since everything’s been exposed, fix it. Watch and see. Without your burden, my life would be much better. If you think I’m filthy, then go ahead and file for a divorce.”

Nick was left speechless, utterly shocked by the word failure Camellia used. Seeing Camellia walk away, he shouted, “Camellia, where are you going? Haven’t you embarrassed us enough?”

Camellia gave Nick a cold glance and said, “Nick, what’s so shameful about this? Living my whole life in the shadows is already disgraceful enough for me.”

Nick said, “I’ve given you millions over the years. Isn’t that enough for you? Have you ever paid a cent of the management fees for this villa? All you do is eat out, shop, and buy cosmetics, and yet those millions can’t keep your heart?"

Nick felt helpless. He had secretly given Camellia millions over these years to give her a good life, but he couldn’t figure out why she would hook up with Colin.

Camellia replied, “Do you think your money is enough for me? I’ll handle my own issues. Let me remind you, you’re not so innocent either. You’ve been cozying up with your female assistant. When you two went on business trips, you only booked one room. Nick, you’d better put up with it since I haven’t exposed your affairs yet.”

Nick was so affected that he took a step back. He thought, “Wendy hadn’t noticed anything about the assistant. How did Camellia find out about it?"

Looking at the mess at home, Jennifer felt like she’d lost something important. With everything that happened tonight, even Easton didn’t want to help her.

Considering that Maris knew Camellia was the other woman, Jennifer wondered if Maris knew even more. Jennifer couldn’t believe she ended up in such a difficult situation.

She looked at the defeated Nick coldly and said, “Dad, you need to treat my mom well. I won’t allow you to hit her again. Do you know how much she’s suffered for you all these years? You know how much business she brought you from Colin. Without Colin, do you think your company could have reached this size just with Wendy’s help?”

Nick replied, “But my company is already gone.”

He didn’t even remember when he gave the company back to Wendy. During that time, he was in poor condition, stumbling through each day and often having hallucinations. Lately, he would wake up in the middle of the night. He felt as if someone was quietly watching him from the bedside, and that creepy feeling made him really scared.

Nick sighed. He looked at Jennifer and said, “Jennifer, since things have reached this point, you should go all out. I don’t know who’s behind you, but I know they want to take down Easton. However, Easton loves you dearly. Marry him, and you’ll find happiness. What’s so special about that illegitimate child? You’ve done all this for him, but does he even understand your feelings?”

Jennifer pressed her lips together and stayed silent. She knew she could only rely on herself. She suddenly thought of something, but then, she told herself what was done was done, and she would never regret it.

Recalling what happened that night, Jennifer found Wendy was acting strangely. She said coldly, “I suspect that tonight’s incident was a setup by Wendy and Maris.”

Nick frowned deeply, anger all over his face. He thought, “Wendy had lost everything; even the Tompson family’s assets have been sold off. She’s definitely going to find a way to get back at us."

He said, “It’s possible. She has nothing left now. She knows you’re my real daughter, knows about my relationship with you mom, and found out how I tricked her into marriage. With her stubborn personality, she’s definitely going to seek revenge on us secretly.”

Jennifer’s eyes showed a strong intent. She urged Nick, “Dad, for our family’s happiness, we must deal with Wendy. She’ll hang on to us like a leech, refusing to let go. I don’t want another night like this.

“It’s so embarrassing. I’ve worked hard to avoid being called an illegitimate child, but tonight’s events have made me exactly that.”

She shouted, getting increasingly upset, “All my hard work was completely wasted. And now, with your divorce out in the open, I’m even more seen as an illegitimate child. Everything I’ve worked for all these years has gone to waste.”

Jennifer was deeply upset, crouching down and crying.
